The most beautiful version of the "one-o-nine" and propably the best.
Nice model and well chosen scale!

I think by the time this aircraft came out they weren't singing songs too loudly anymore.
    🤣

That 109 was actually blue 7, and did neither have a yellow fuselage band nor a spinner spiral :)

what I meant was that a sliding canopy rather than a hinged version was preferred :)

Wow, I didn't realise that the K model came so late, August '44. The Luftwaffe were already beaten by May of that year. I can now see that the K was probably the least effective, even though it was the fastest, of any 109 variant. And it has the best lines too.

Haha my dad is a huge 1/48th scale ww2 modeler, He has a pretty awesome collection these days, he even has a bunch of models in the franklin institute!, but the other day he randomly gave me an awesome model of a 109K with incredibly realistic looking weathering after I told him he needs to finish modeling all the basic german aircraft before he dies, which he has intentionally put off for some really crazy and failed designs instead haha, he has like 4 brewster buffalos that are amazing lol!

Eduard will be releasing an E-1 and an E-4 in 1/32 scale... but I don't know when! Airfix has an E in 1/24 scale, and both Tamiya and Hasegawa have Emils out in 1/48 scale.. so if you find 1/72 too small, then you should still be able to find something larger, I'm sure.. :)

Very good, as usual.. I especially liked the 'wear and tear'.. :) I have a couple of 1/72 'Emils' planned, I will build them together! One will be a captured E-4, as flown by the RAF.. but I'm not sure if the second one will be a Russian E-3, or an E-3 in Luftwaffe colours... :)

Brilliant... better than mine; as I over-weathered mine, forgetting that the Germans kept their aircraft in very good condition.. :) You also did the spiral on the spinner a lot better than me.. :D Great work.

pretty good model. you should think about using a pin vice to bore out the barrels of the guns. other than that I thought it was a job well done

maybe they didn't get out...I read the baron's mission statement below and that would take about 2-3 months of fruitful labour :)

    very nice looking 109

  • @granskare

yeah, looks great...as to the real thing, I always wondered about the canopy design which made leaving the airplane difficult (if in a hurry in flight) :) and I see the baron and basic have made it here first !

i did fix it and maybe YT will take notice...my message above to basic is the gist of what i was to say until YT buttons got in the way of my fingers :)

I guess I could get you an Academy 1/72 Bf109 E... but it will take a while, as I've already well overspent my modelling budget for this month.. :) :)

How can I get one of these?

  • @BasicModelling
    @BasicModelling 16 лет назад

Ha ha ha.. Well, I'm sure quite a few did get away.. as long as they didn't get in the way of a Polish pilot. The Poles at the time did not share the same sentiment as the RAF, that it was good enough just to shoot down the plane.. they didn't count a victory unless the pilot was shot too.. To a point they were right, as the pilot could fly again, and so still be a threat.. but all the same..
