Nice recording, one Slowdive concert where I can hear the vocals well.
Definitely a different "sound" for them. Not sure if it was a total fuckup running the boards or just experimenting with different mix levels. At first listen I didn't care for it; now after a few runs I start to hear elements of the songs that usually are washed out coming out brighter and for me at least makes for an interesting take on them as a whole. Whatever... its Slowdive. I'll always listen to them.

This band defines the dream pop genre in an ultimate way. Don't let anyone convince you it is MBV. Simon Scott is sitting nice in this mix - he's such a smart drummer and this band wouldn't be the same without him.
Hace unos días que descubrí a ésta épica banda, cuyas canciones me han dejado con muchos sentí y emociones encontradas, hasta dónde me permite mi limitado conocimiento al respecto, yo creo que Cocteau Twins es la banda que se toma como referencia al Dream Pop, curiosamente yo siempre creí que The Jesus And Mary Chain es la banda referente al Shoegaze; aunque que leído comentarios y visto documentales los cuales mencionan a My Bloody Valentine como banda referente a éste género musical, en cuanto a Slowdive, para mí es la única banda que logró combinar lo mejor del Dream Pop de los Cocteau Twins y así como también lo mejor del Shoegaze de My Bloody Valentine; logrando una fusión perfecta de ambos géneros con el cuál obtuvieron su sonido y ritmo que los caracteriza. Bueno, ésa es mí humilde opinión al respecto.
