I like the theme in Polish folk/military songs where they start with something blooming.
I think that’s because anytime there’s war after everything starts to bloom
Not just polish notably but fits many of them
Not sure why it was a trend, but I agree it's a nice touch
this song went from being so happy to sad at the end
Such a lively song, excellent video!

This song sounds like someones legacy in music
Was this song from the era of the duchy of warsaw? It has a feel to it that feels like it was written back then, i mean youd definetly imagine it being sang by Polish soldiers at Raszyn
I think it was before that not during polish Lithuanian prime but certainly close to that

Could someone explain the story of the song?
This song is about girl who is fall in love with young uhlan (light soldier). She write letters for him. One day she finds that she's pregnant with uhlan and she birth a son
@@ashleo4761 more importantly, it is implied that the baby is not the soldiers. The Uhlan is a moral character in the song, with the song writing a criticism to the concept of premature sexual relationships. Note the author's use of the word "a" in the final lyric of the song. This word emphasizes the difference between the two parts of the list.

What, am I supposed to think she got pregnant from the cards, soldier? All by herself, you were of course nowhere near.
Can someone can tell me what happens at the end? Im not very good with english
The girl is pregnant and unmarried, and the soldier blamed her for going out late and playing cards, so he refused to marry her even though he got her pregnant.
Nice song bratanki🇭🇺❤️🇵🇱
Thx ❤️
🇵🇱❤️🇭🇺 greetings Brother!
What does honeysuckle mean
Co znaczyło słowo samolot w języku staropolskim🇵🇱?
Samolot(Самолёт) is word borrowed from Russian language, it means "Airplane"

@@mareksicinski3726 some stupid guts and blackpowder reference on a video thats completed unrelated to guts and blackpowder
@@cheesenational come on, guts and blackpowder sure is a good game, heck, most of these songs like Kalina Malina would have never been heard by most if it Wasn't for games like Guts and Blackpowder or Blood and Iron! Also the comment rule says no hate, thus don't hate the person
@@French_officer_of_1e_Regiment_ i mean it is kinda irritating to see 123921389 Retarded G&B fans absolutely flood the comment section of every song related to Napoleonic era, yeah it is a good game but the fanbase...
@@Hans-ht2ftI couldn't agree more.
My name means honeysuckle or berries?
probably yes
Kalina is a Slavic name for Viburnum opulus, and Malina in most (if not all) Slavic languages means raspberry.
