Yeah I think Steelix is good. If you have sandstorm Steelix's mega ability will power up rock, ground, and steel type moves, and you can also use a held item to make stand storm last longer. Steelix can also learn stealth rock, so if you have a dragon tail TM you can force your opponent to switch their Pokemon and they will take damage from dragon tail and stealth rock.
