Hi new friends! This video is getting a lot of attention again, so if you’re seeing this and found this video helpful, let me know what other topics you’d like me to make videos on!
THANK YOU OMG - i’ve been panicking for ages about what was actually going to happen in the audition “room” itself. Everything else just tells you what to bring, but you literally walked me through what i’m gonna do - very useful ofc tyty
I'm not auditioning for my school's play since there's no theater in my school, but I have an audition in my local community theater this week. Honestly all these tips help. I'll be doing a cold read, but I've watched many videos of the musical I'm auditioning for so I know everything decently
I have a callback tomorrow after school! We’re doing Anastasia and I tried out for the lead! But honestly with all the cool dances and costumes ensemble has it makes me want to stick in ensemble so I’m very excited!
I've never done anything theatery before and in a week im auditioning for Rosie in Mamma Mia! Im so scared but ive been looking forward to actually doing stuff with drama for years now. Im worried that they're going to have me sightread some music, (they haven't given very much information), but the problem is, i can only read bass clef! I'm in band! I dont know all the singy marks and treble clef is just..no thanks. But I cant sing very low. So theres no point in knowing bass clef for singing if I cant go that low!! Ahh im just so nervous. Your tips will help a lot and im gonna make sure i use them next week
I haven’t watched this yet but it looks so helpful! I have to audition for my school play “beauty and the beast” and my dream has always been to be an actor and be belle so I’m really hoping I get this part 🤞
omg im going into highschool nextyear, and this really calmed me down lol. but i feel that my voice isn't super good, but i'm also not a bad singer. any tips for confidence?
@@majime1246 i got in! and into another one afterwards (plays, not musicals). basically from what I've gathered just go full on crazy. unless your role specifically says not to, over exaggurate EVERYTHING. also really focus on your hand movements and facial expressions. if you want more details ask me lol
omg thanks for the tips!!! i have auditions for one of my senior shows and i still get nervous bc my school makes us audition in front of everyone else who is auditioning
Break a leg! I have never liked the idea of having to audition in front of your peers because that’s not at all how it is in the professional world. AND your audition can be a very vulnerable moment where it’s important to feel safe and supported. I had to audition in front of classmates many times in middle school and high school so I fully get it! I’m sure you’ll be amazing ❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU. Im going for ms hannigan, and Our og theater teacher left, and was replaced with our very instense, delusional, but also cool one and she scares me. TYSM
Ok so i had auditions and I got a lead role!!!!! (i had the performances in April) This helped sm!! I have another audition tomorrow, and I will definitely be using your tips again!!!!
Hi! I don't know if you will see this but I was wondering what are any of your suggestions for songs to audition with for the musical Matilda? The info sheet says to bring any song that kind of shows who you are. We have to sing 30 seconds of it. I'm not sure how to pick my song. Your vid has helped a lot so thank you for that!
I would ask your theater teacher how you should prepare! But it could be that they will do cold reading of the script or have you all sing a song they teach you when you get there! But definitely ask if you are unsure :)
