BIBAK BC Sakuting

BIBAK BC started workshops at the end of September for the youth to learn more about their culture. From the end of September well into all of November the BIBAK Youth of BC not only continued to have the workshops but also have the weekends be focused on practicing with one another.
This dance the Sakuting is a folk dance of the Philippines which is an interpretation of mock battles between the lowlander (Ilocano) Christians and non-Christians presumably the Igorot.

Interestingly enough this dance does not have full Igorot origins but have been since adapted by the Igorot.
Since this performance at the BIBAK Christmas Party the Youth in the month of December performed this set performance after performance at different functions.
