A force of Lizardmen have been pushing through Orc territory and have finally come across the main force waiting in Defense and very eager to face the Lizardmen.
Marc and Luka play a 2400 point Battle using the Dawn Attack Scenario. Luka plays Orcs and Goblins against Marc and his Lizardmen!
That Lizardmen army is absolutely gorgeous.
Grymloq is Strenth 7, so the 2s have wounded. Also, Kroq Gar's wounds are doubled for combat resolutions. He would easily have won the last combat instead of taking a break test.

Please, PLEASE start using terrain in the middle of the board where it can actually affect the game! It's so frustrating that we don't get to see you guys try to work around terrain and get an advantage from maneouvre the same way you do for 40k!
And use the random terrian rules that are in the book!

You still have to roll animosity with a black orc boss in unit. If failed he can beat the shit out of the unit to quell it

Boars have +2 strength when they charge
all those missed predatory fighter attacks in this game.... way too many ...
at 41:34 there should have been 1 extra attack for predatory fight for Lizardmen for Kroq Gar's attacks

idiotproofdalek what was the bad part about that again? Wasn't one of the results, the Shamen would walk around, drooling?
Unless it happened off camera, i do believe you forgot to roll to continue the foot of gork. And i don't think those skinks could have used "stand and shoot" because the boar riders were within their movement before the charge.
You only keep rolling to stomp if you roll for the higher gorks foot (he used the lower one) and they might be quick to fire meaning it's fine to shoot within half range
Jacob Dorrington both good points. Hadn't thought of the quick to fire rule, which i think they are. Also thought he used the big version once. I could be wrong

I personally prefer using Orc Boar Boyz and making them the Big Uns, add spears too
Charlie Clifton-Brown I don't know mate, my Unit of 40 w/hnd. Weapons and shilds did quite well. That extra save buff helped me out a few times. ;)
The Black Orcs seem to have a severe case of Jaundice.
Spear chuckas' have a Misfire chart? Never played orc and Gobbos in the 8th. Edition. I guess things charged?

probs as they have no others to field in a report.....they look dumb, but its still Black Orcs and no1 challenges them as to why their armour is yellow :-)

Why did the hw/s saurus suddenly start wounding orcs on 3s? does the blizzard spell decrease toughness as well as the to-hit penalty?
I didn't hear what ruleset you're using (i assume 8th because of random charge distances and you didn't specify WAP) but don't skirmishers shoot 360 degrees in every edition? they look ranked up because of the tray but I thought you said theyd be skirmishing
at 1:14:40 Kroq-Gar has still his spear which gives him double kill counting for combat resolution, doesn't he?

In a challenge (BSB and Kroq) you get a maximum of PLUS 5. So all 6 wounds would have counted (2 base plus 5 is 7 wounds maximum).

How about you don't front charge them into the enemy armies effective elite, heavy troops...without any backup...or extra ranks?
You rolled poorly, ill grant you and i think you forgot about some rules as well (boars get +2 strength on the charge).
Meanwhile, there's a juicy side faced unit of spears just sitting there, close by....which you actually feared would charge your boys :s
What was the tactical decision here?
Savage orc boar boys, especially big uns, with extra hand weapons are some of the heaviest and most deadly cavalry in the game.
(They used to be even deadlier when frenzy transferred to the mount as well)

tried doing this fight in total war version as best as i could, it was a really close fight

PAY LUKA MORE MONEY!!!!! MORE WARHAMMER FANTASY, PLEASE!!!! Two battle reports a week. One 8th edition and the second an Older World Wars from 6th edition. All on youtube. Reserve the Vault videos for especially special videos. Do the Orc's not have a waghh rule in 8th edition? do they not get a bonus to charging movement once a game from their gathered battle lust? maybe that was 7th edition. It could have made quite a difference in this game.

36:00....arent orks all str 4 base? That would make the choppas str 5 on the charge, so you would have wounded on 3s with a 6+ save, not wounded on 4s with 5+ save. I mean, savage ork boar boyz cant possibly be str 3, right?

The fanatic dies when a unit runs into it like that, so it couldn't hurt the Saurus.

Fagerlund finally it's only been two videos. 6th is a great ruleset
3 weeks. And no, it really isn't. 30% less viewing on those videos as well suggests that I'm not alone in this opinion, so hopefully MWG gets the hint.
It's hardly a failure. The 6th edition community is still very strong around the globe. If you listened to Steve it was only to freshen things up as the batreps were getting quite stale. So I for one applaud them for tying new stuff. Perhaps you didn't start in the earlier editions but it's nice to see the game and how it evolved into 8th.
I started in 6:th, so yes I know first hand how bad it was. Also, freshening things up usually means moving forward, not backward. There are plenty of things they could do without going to an older (in my opinion much inferior) edition. Linked campaigns, special scenarios, Storm of Magic, small scale games, large scale, 2v2 etc.
6th Edition was the best one. not this shitty massive-units-of-40+ running-towards-each-other-edition

I love to watch this guys play but the rules of this game compared to 6th are weird af. 2 savage boars charge, dead before even attacking. What's the point on charging if you are still attacking after the enemy? yeah charge bonuses to lances and boars etc but still...8th sucks
