Looks like fun. Unfortunately many things about it also scream "budget cuts mid-project". It seems kinda cheap.
seeing screens for so long then being in the dark only to have few seconds to see through the tubes ? Who thought this was a good idea ?
I wonder if there were originally effects planned to go with the clips? Many of them seem to set you up for a spray or a mist that would be more in line with a standard dark ride and be more immersive. Even though there are 2 different stories, there could be a set up for a spray in both at the same location or mist at same place. I wonder if that was the plan at the start and those features got cut for some reason. I feel like some short clips on side panels don't qualify this for "Disney's First Attraction At Sea". Don't get me wrong, it still looks fun. There will still be long lines and Disney will still count this as a big win, but it doesn't live up to the hype. People have imagined much more and will be disappointed. This doesn't stand up to the standard for even A or B ticket attractions much less the likes of Rise, M&MRR, Flights of passage, or Gardians that fans now expect from Disney. I personally don't expect every attraction to be to that caliber, BUT for all the promotion that they have done for this to just be a shorter aqua duck with some video panels, it is a big let down.
It's not technically on its actual sailing yet until July 14. They may be still working on the effects you mentioned... hope so, otherwise, I won't understand the point of building Aquamouse rather than the AquaDuck
I was on the voyage. Night 1 there were spray and mist effects to go with the screens. (Including warm spray for lava and monster). By Night 3 (when this was filmed), they had turned off the effects because they were tripping the sensors.
They were actively working on it and adjusting it the whole cruise. I would guess they would make sure the effects can work.
And may I add, when the effects were working the ride was so much fun.
@@lachlanmason3918 That is so awsome to hear! I think just those little effects that align with the clips will make it seem more like a dark ride. Thank you so much for sharing that news! Even if the effects are not quite working yet, the fact that it was designed with them, means eventually they can be fixed and added back in.

Looks cute, but with that much buildup I had hoped it would loop around the ship that you can see (looping in a tunnel doesn't count, personally)

While this seems to be more thrilling than aqua duck, I feel like aqua duck feels longer than this.
aqua mouse was in fact rushed due to 3 of the test cruises being cancelled because of aqua mouse
Aqua duck gives more thrills, it immediately jets you out through the tube while Aqua mouse has this fricking 3 minute slide upward to a short little jet through a tube.
That's it? Lol not sure if it's worth the eyesore pillars on deck. The part with the view seems so brief.
I doesn’t look that fun but I went on it and trust me IT IS WAY FUNNER THAN IT LOOKS
the aqua duck is superior in my opinion, it’s just a lot faster and a shorter ride with more thrills.

I love this slide! I went on it last year and was a little skeptical to try it at first, but it is really fun. However, the images do squirt water at you which is not clear in this video.
In terms of overall scenic views and ride experience, Aqua Duck is superior to Aqua Mouse and I love my Mickey!🥰 😜 #TeamAquaDuck😎🥳💙❤️💜🎉 Notwithstanding, awesome video as always!👍🏽

We love DCL.. and we love the new animation.. but this is like an elevated water slide..no where near Aquaduck!! It's only half water... the rest is just a conveyor to watch a short clip that has nothing to do with the ocean...really don't get it!

Was on board the Wish recently and waited till our day at sea to ride this. Due to it being down for a bit and the line I waited about 35 minutes or so but was worth it!

This is great for people who have good vision, but for people like me who can’t see well without glasses, i’d rather just ride AquaDuck on Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream.

its legit a conveyor belt with clips from mickey mouse thats not even related to the ride and then becomes just a shorter aqua duck. this was way to over hyped and this is not a attraction they could'ive maybe did it like how the aqua dunk and duck did it with a story at the waiting place. it was just a massive flop by disney and they def had some budget cuts while making this

This should have happened years ago, the premise of adding tvs to a water slide lift is very simple and nothing special...but i guess its better late than never!

@@gissneric Disney is who said it was the first attraction because of the screens. It definitely isn’t that different from the AquaDuck and arguably worse because it is more enclosed so not as much view, and it obstructs views from the deck and looks like ventilation ducts from the outside.

Seems like Disney is already going the same route as Universal and just filling rides and attractions with screens, instead of actual models or animatronics
to play devils advocate here, this is a water slide squeezed on a cruise ship, there isnt much else you could do to theme it
