    Al Capone didn't go from being a gangster to one of Hollywood's most famous people, but do you know who did make the transition from crook to movie star? Danny Trejo, that's who! Find out how he went from a life of crime to the sweet life of a Hollywood superstar by watching this related video:

    I'm from Wisconsin. Al Capone used to hide out from the law up in Door County, Wisconsin, which is a quaint, little vacation destination to this day. Lots of ghost stories are told up there, some of which have to do with missing federal agents from those days, and "Jason," a boy rumored to be Al Capone's illegitimate son who was found hung in the attic of an old hotel. Beneath Egg Harbor (in Door County) there are old Native American tunnels (closed now for safety) where Capone put anyone that crossed him.

    AL hated the nickname "Scarface". When the Howard Hughes movie "Scarface" was released in 1932, it was loosely based on Capone's life. Al Capone enjoyed the movie. 😎 (However, some of Capone's henchmen showed up at a Producer's place, pre-release, to "make sure the movie wasnt about their Boss".) 😉

      Mr. Garfelk - I don't see where anyone is mad. They simply corrected a pretty obvious mistake by the op. You must be one of those little kiddies that chime in saying, "You mad, bro?" even though no one actually is. And Mike Hawk is right.... the op did indeed thoroughly fuck it up! Hell, you couldn't even spell "fucking" right but you think people are mad? Oh boy - we got a real winner here, folks.... lol

    I found the still at 00:32 interesting, the Chicago paper is "dated October 17, 1931" yet one of the headlines says "Thomas Edison died" when he died October 18th 193. How come is like that? he died 3:24 AM New Jersey which would be 2:24 AM Chicago

    Do you want to know how I got these scars? My father was a drinker, and a fiend. And one night he goes off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen knife to defend herself. He doesn't like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. He turns to me, and he says, "Why so Serious?" He comes at me with the knife, "Why so serious?" He sticks the blade in my mouth, "Let's put a smile on that face!" And...Why so serious?

    And it could have gone a whole different way. Frank Galuccio ( I hope I spelled it right) was a made guy at the time. Capone was lucky he wasn't killed outright, and it went the way it did because of Frankie Yale. Not Al Capone.

      The1stFishBone I wanted to see if Oct. 17 1931 was really the day Thomas Edison died which was the date on the newspaper. Turns out he dies on the 18th. And I can't find any record of the "sunday" Tribune. They must not have permission to use real newspaper images so they just make one up in photo shop.
      The real Tribune front page from then looks different.

    • @The1stFishBone
      @The1stFishBone 8 лет назад +7

      That's some impressive research. But the Chicago Tribune from the 18th did the same thing, putting the Capone headline first (archives.chicagotribune.com/1931/10/18/page/1/article/u-s-jury-convicts-capone). So still, fuck Chicago!

      Black Virtue
      William Balsamo tells us he interviewed Frank Galluccio(the man who gave Capone his scars) in 1965 and that he cut Capone's face in The Harvard Inn in 1917, while Capone was working for Frankie Yale. After the incident they had a sit-down that included Joe "the Boss" Masseria and Luciano. After that everything was resolved.
      There are several problems with the story. First, according to the FBI, Galluccio had died in 1963 or earlier, so he could not have met with Balsamo in 1965. Another problem is that in 1917 Capone was working in box factory. Frankie Yale was not connected to The Harvard Inn until 1920, and there's no evidence that Masseria and Luciano knew each other until the early 1920s. Finally, Balsamo says that Galluccio's sister's name was Lena. He had only one unmarried sister at the time, and her name was Teresa or Tessie. Based on all that, I'd say that Balsamo -- who's the source for this story -- made it all up.
