i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any tricks you can give me!
Love that you guys push the Carr amps in a lot of your vids. Great sound, beautiful looks to all of them. There are a lot of great amp builders coming out of NC; MojoTone, 3 Monkeys, Swart, Port City, and I've seen a Top Hat in the background of some of your posts. But Carr seems to be the cream of the crop.
I have a Carr Mercury, which is great. I also own a 3 Monkeys sock monkey, which I love. I used to own a Swart space tone reverb. I had it for many years. I wanted to love the Swart, but the bottom was too loose for my taste.
Damn, 8lbs... I'm jealous. My reissue is 9 lbs and change (still sounds killer)... Anyway love strats and teles, but nothing beats a P-90s Les Paul, especially those old ones. Guy did the guitar justice in the demo.
This is my favorite year for the Goldtop. I hope it won't be sold to some guys with more money than sense where they will go have the guitar checkered and faded until it looks like it's been through a war zone.
Saw a lot of your Videos, always great guitars and amps. Love all this Gibson P-90 stuff and Telecasters, would like to own a 56 whiteguard. You're located in Seattle? Cheers from germany
Wonderful review. I have a couple of questions though. Are the pickups on the Gold Top Alnico 5? Also, those same pickups that are the Gibson SG Special Ebony with P90s? Thank you.
Takes a lot to beat a P-90. If only they didn't hum so much! Can't believe that back in about 1986 I went to a music store that was clearing out all their Gibson pickups dirt cheap. They had the P-90s with clear bobbins, you could see the wires of the coil. $20 each. I only had $60 on me, so I managed to snag three of them. This was back before EFTPOS and at the time I didn't have a credit card. Give that deal now and I would buy the entire inventory.
Cool instrument, and not sure if the fret nibs aren't also missing but you get what you get. I hope whoever spends 35 big ones on this plays the thing, this used to be a grade of instrument you could play club gigs but not so much now.
I believe it’s a single channel amp and all the clean stuff is the guitar volume rolled way back. Aaron just turned it up to get it to break up in the second half of the demo.
You decide. I got a used Skylark and it's a fantastic amp. Also have a Rambler, another great one. Had a PRRI and a Deville in the past. These aren't bad either :)
I own a Carr Mercury. It sounds great. I wanted a less expensive tube combo to take to auditions, so I also bought a handsome Fender tweed blues junior. The volume knob on the fender was not lined up with the numbers on the control plate, so I loosened the set screw on the knob to line it up. There allowed me to see that there are no washers and nuts securing the pots to the control plate. The pots are also soldered directly into the PC board. This is very poor compared to the build quality of the Carr amp. I sold the Fender amp.
I made some of these recently and I'm pleasantly surprised to say I nailed it! You want 6-7k (max) on the neck. I wound to 7400 ish turns and got 6.2k. Fairly high scatter/low TPL. A3 mags. Bridge came out at 8.3k high tpl low scatter. A3. You can't really go wrong with P90's. The sound is very much like a fat strat or vintage (pre cbs) telecaster. In fact A/B against my 59 strat on same EQ the difference is only marginal really. Very surprised. I put a Bigsby on which didn't work out so well (robbed all the mids and really spiked the treble).
Played a '69 Gold top with P90s since '73. Perfect for me
That is magic. P90 gold tops will always be my favourite les Paul’s
Oh yes, and the black custom from same year as well
Shake hands!
Wow, I love these videos and I feel like they get better and better every time

Though I'll never afford it, I'm still glad you put the price up. Big number, but it's alot of guitar too
Saw a lot of your Videos, always great guitars and amps.

That's an amazing guitar!
What’s the song Aron plays in the beginning?
What were his volume settings towards the end and any attenuation used?
Good question! It would be fantastic if they showed the amplifier settings for all these demonstrations.
I believe it’s a single channel amp and all the clean stuff is the guitar volume rolled way back. Aaron just turned it up to get it to break up in the second half of the demo.
Great playing and how beautiful the sound of that guitar is
I wish these amps weren’t so expensive. Are they even worth it vs a fender tube amp at 1/3 the price ?
You decide. I got a used Skylark and it's a fantastic amp. Also have a Rambler, another great one. Had a PRRI and a Deville in the past. These aren't bad either :)
Alec Zugcic you get what you pay for in this case

Great sounds and playing,, would like to hear this in a band.
WOW ! Yes please ! 😎🎸👍
hey this dude can play so GOOD! Please give him more les pauls and SGs..! Such a good vibe
A great goldtop sounds like the fattest strat and the best les paul at the same time
Aaron and p90’s... what a great combo!
That was absolutely great!! Very fine playing!!
What amplifier is it?
Does anyone know what song is he playing at 5:50?
One of my favorite guitar players. The guitar is badass too.
Whats something like this valued at in 2023??
Those are MUCH bigger frets than would’ve been original
God damn...
I’d be terrified to touch that guitar!
I made some of these recently and I'm pleasantly surprised to say I nailed it!

Nice play and amp setting! Killer! Most famous guitarists play LP on too much gain and ambient. Metal/Hard Rock
Aaron Hiebert is a beast!
That sounds sooo nasty....Love it!!
imagine trying to pick up a guitar and dropping and breaking the headstocck lol
"OVER WOUND" P90's
what kinda crap You talkin here, Willis ..??
pure bullshit
36k lmfao
Woopy doo,let me give you a rediculous amount of money for a stupid guitar lol
Hire that guy
Terribile guitarrist.
Very terrible
