You are quite right, most of the classics that are daily driven have had some changes done for health and safety reasons, and to keep up with modern traffic. Just saw your Proton on 'Furious' its like Doctor who gave it a lift in the Tardis from 10 years ago to now! Keep up the good work.
Always good to hear from the lovely Steph! As for the thing about electric conversions at about 4:40...a JZ or LS or K swap invariably transforms a car as much as an electric conversion does, and I don't see many people complaining about those. At the moment, for a lot of people, an electric conversion might not make any economic sense (when one can do a JZ/etc swap for a fraction of the price)...but that might change when the current generation of electric cars head into the "buy it for a drivetrain swap" price range. We'll see!
Well done Steph! A lot of the cars she drives or revues were built before she was born! KIt's great she has a passion for classic cars. A lot of classic car fans are attracted to cars they dreamt of owning when they were younger and less wealthy, think of today's middle aged men driving 1970s Mustang etc.
Fantastic video Steph. Its so good to hear your views. Hopefully with organisations like the FHBV in the UK and similar organisations in other countries we will be able to enjoy our classics more or less as manufactured for decades to come. The characteristics (flaws?) or the internal combustion engine dictate a lot of the driving experiance. There is no reason why, with modern control techniques, an electric motor couldn't replicate the torque characteristics of an ICE. It might be a good compromise. Keep up your inspirational work on the channel.
Some valid points. I do not pretend to know the answers. Steph is right, change is not always bad. The fossil fuel and auto industries are likely to be a lot different in the future. Classic car driving in the future is going to be caught up in the wave too.
Well said! I imagine the first step will be ethanol, followed by electrification. I have zero desire to drive one of the appliances that pass as cars these days.
Modern SUVs are very similar in design, you have to read the name badges to see what make and it is. Most SUVs are styled like refridgerators nowadays!

Don't worry too much about a new noise. Worry when it stops, something has just fallen off !

🙌
Maybe someone could make a steam version of a classic car? The technology was already sophisticated in the 20s.
very well said and I agree with you 100% classic's are the best the modern car's are dull and have no soul or nice looks .
Good video
😎👍👍
I hate modern cars, there're all so dull and boring. I like the classic cars.
