- This week we had the pleasure of interviewing the great Frank Bello of Anthrax here on the channel. So for this lesson I’m going to work through one of Frank’s most popular lines, the bass solo from the song Got The Time from the Persistence Of Time album.

A nice casual bass line from one of most calml, caring and conscientious people in Rock n' Roll. Ellie gave another great interview with him. For both, thank you team Talking Bass!
You have to be the best bass player on the internet. Keep it going man. I always look to your channel for the harder stuff I learn on bass.
Había sacado esta línea de bajo hace buuu Artos años, tengo 40 años, cuando no existía la internet, solo tu oído te ayudaba, y que bueno saber que no tuve ningún error al sacar este tema, muy buen video gracias, saludos desde Chile.
*jamming the hardest I've ever seen this guy play*

Persistence of Time
Do you have a video with the whole song?
I've got a question please, for anyone who would like to respond. I hear crackling in my amplifier, whenever I turn up the volume dial on the bass. Another issue I have, is that the sound cuts out completely when I adjust the volume dial on the bass. I'm assuming the issue is with the amp itself, but please correct me if I'm wrong about this. It's one of those small practice amps, not too expensive or much wattage on this thing. Thank you.
sounds like a wiring issue in your bass actually. not the amp. have any other instruments to test out on the amp just to make sure?
@@davidjaymz64 I do not have another instrument to test out. But, I do have a bit of surface damage to the bass, there are a few indentions directly around the area of the volume dial. (it fell down flat on the floor once) I usually have to turn the dial to max volume on the bass, to get sound from the amp. I just assumed it was the amp, since it was later on that I began to experience the issue. Thanks for the response.
@@BRR949 Hi there. Based on the description of the problem and the fall of the bass you mentioned, I'd say the problem is on the volume knob of your bass. I'd have it checked by a tech.
@@iutchube Thank you for the response.
Glad I could help. 👍😁
sigh... SOME day
i watched this clinic: ruclips.net/video/j7LPw4yDA9M/видео.html, and at 1:46 it seems like he does do what you tabbed but instead of the C on the G-string it is just continuing on the D string, basically the minor scale from the B flat all the way to the 16th fret then the 18th fret on the G. its kinda stuttery to be honest, and it looks like he is pausing during the slides from the 4th to 8th fret, and then just slides it down... tricky... anyways thanks for the video as always
