Logged onto Destiny this morning for the first time since the weapon crafting glitch weekend. Kinda sad that I no longer enjoy playing the game. I see why people who just played to have fun got bored with it quickly...
you’d already be igniting everything with a single throw with caliban’s, so i think athrys’s embrace would be better, especially since scorched targets are immediately ignited from weighted throwing knife hits
I thought that comparing people’s builds to fingerprints was a really good analogy, until I remembered the all-white/black trials armor Antaeus ward arc titans with conditional finality and igneous hammer
I cooked up the first build at the beginning of the season and was a little frustrated with how hard it was to get Cadmus Ridge Lancecap to work (one day soon you will work, my precious), I shifted gears and took my Cascade Point Unending Tempest and Trinity Ghoul for a spin on a Shinobu's Vow Arc Hunter build. I'm loving it! You get so many clean up kills by chucking a Skip at a someone you shot with Trinity Ghoul and you still get the Chain Lightning on kill. Then if someone pushes you, you have your 857 RPM Submachine gun to mow them down before they have a chance to shotgun you! I also tried it with a Cascade Point Perpetualis with great success and found it was much more lethal at any range beyond Shotgun range considering Auto Rifles get the full benefit of Cascade Point and cranked the RPM up to 1000!
I made my Lancecap lean into Diamond Lance. So Stasis weapons and ability kills had a chance to generate them too. Which meant I could be a bit more aggressive. SMG or Shotgun. For range, I went Disparity depending on the map. Getting them however was far harder, but you grab them and land a shot. Man the disrespect is glorious.
A better version of the skyburners build is running weighted knife with ophidia as a weighted knife will IMMEDIATELY ignite as soon as one skyburners shot hits beforehand. Not only that but it does enough damage to refund the knife back. And you get 2.
I feel like the power of the lancecap really shines when oanding a headshot by trinity from behind a barricade to make a lance, or abusing the lighting aoe which that being 3 more seperate instances of damage would also spawn a lance when behind a barricade. Also a void flamethrower would be nice, disguise it as a glaive to "balance" it or whatever but imagine getting full glaive energy and then dispensing purple napalm that ticks like scorch until maxing out the threshold making an enemy into a mini supernova. Beautiful. Or a less powerful but good option is making them explode into a void fire aoe spreading the flame or just leaving a pool of purple space napalm on the ground. Maybe thats it's catalyst. I call it, George. Or maybe, the celestial scorcher.
Nice to see Skyburner's getting some recognition, I feel like the Incendiary Grenade + Hipfire shot Ignition combo went under the radar for a lot of people even after it was further buffed.
Honestly that’s a great fragment even without trinity, it means easy tangle generation even without energy for an ability, and generally just taking less damage
As a Titan who primarily runs Behemoth in PvP I say that you have given me something fun to use. I have tweaked it and found that this build actually can be improved if you correctly lean into the “boxing match while cooking ramen”. Not only one shooting but freezing your enemies as well. I will show this build when I see you on your next live stream when I can show you this monster. ALSO CERBERUS SUCKS!
Listen here for an EZ lance cap build. For weapons use Disparity and fighting lion. Whisper of fissures, rending, and shards. Diamond lance aspect + any other aspect you like (I prefer tetonic harvest). A full headshot burst from Disparity will give you a lance. Next pull the lion out and grab the lance. Freeze and blow it up.
Subclass: Broodweaver Aspects: Wanderer & Weavers Call Fragments: Evolution, Rebirth Exotic Armor: Swarmers Weapons: Quicksilver Storm & Any Wave Frame GL w/ Disruption Break I’ve gone on some crazy streaks w/ this build & it has instakill capabilities with the Wave GL + a Needle Melee on all but tier 10 Resil
For when this season's artifact is gone, I highly recommend running Trinity + Cascade Point on an SMG on Arc titan with Peacekeepers. It's not quite as strong as this, but is still incredibly powerful. Near instant swap speed on a Cascade SMG that can be proc'd with only 2/3 arrows from Trinity is very powerful and I see this becoming meta once the Anteus nerf hits
Cold front is pretty good but Rapacious Appetite from last season can get enhanced Cascade & Perp. Motion as well as having better stats at base @@Atosark
I think you left out the part of that Trinity Ghoul build that matters with regards to the Lance Cap. You touched on the reasons when you were talking about the artifact synergies, but never brought up why the Lance Cap specifically was used in the build. Namely that the Lance Cap lies in its description and is able to generate lances off of the Trinity Ghoul's triple arrow volleys. The Lance Cap only needs the user to land three precision hits or score a precision kill and has no Stasis requirements and doesn't even need the aspect equipped. So Trinity Ghoul naturally fits the exotic pretty well in PvP because it makes pushing the bow user much riskier than it otherwise would have been.
It's cool taht my Trin Ghould cheese got so much screen time but pretty frustrating that Mesome kept blaming my build when he kept trying to set up a ranged playstyle on the enemy's doorstep. It was a trinity ghoul build, not an smg build, that was just there to cover your arse if anyone got close.
Mask of Quiet one rework Dreaded Visage: Taking damage builds stacks of Dreaded Visage when outside of combat consume stacks slowly (every 5-15 seconds) granting 10% ability energy per stack when stacks max out ( 10 total stacks) gain Devour and a Void over shield that increases over time (15 seconds) the stacks disappearing overtime is to stop it from just giving infinite devour and OS In pvp and these values are for pve so maybe like 2-5% per stack in pvp
Helm of Saint-14 rework Starless Terror: Enemies within 15 meters of ward placement are blinded and weaken people who go inside are overcharged with light providing an 35% damage buff while inside and improved handling and reload. Kills inside the bubble increases time and Health keep the blinding effect when you enter bubble but remove all benefits upon leaving bubble
I got a supremely annoying build for hunter: void, spec for invis as much as you can with the gamblers dodge, use Monty Carlo, aeons with sect of vigor, and refuse to take fair fights. Bonus points if you run suppressor nades to be extra annoying to the other ability spammers
i've been using the trinity ghoul build since the beginning of this season and im so mad you had to point it out i used this exact build(beside the behemoth titan trading that for wellock) with a discord cascade point unending tempest.
Trinity with Getaway Artists is my go to. Sentient arc soul will do 55 dmg and Trinity Ghoul will one shot head shot. I like to play really aggressively with this and also abuse the arc warlock’s slide melee.
Was hoping for trinity ghoul to become a sleeper meta, as it’s my favorite since forsaken, but now that all bows are in the spotlight and there’s now videos on it, I’m kinda sad that it’s likely going to get a nerf. That and my computer is currently getting fixed.
I've been using bows so long that it feels weird to see 60% of the lobby using them, even in lobbies full of solo players. If ever there was evidence that content creator videos influence what everyone uses, it's the state of the Crucible right now.

@@angelousmortis8041 I at least still use Lightweights, the purported worst bow frame (used for the free 20 Mobility, of course). The fact it took videos specifically pointing out why high skill lobbies are covered in bows, despite private competitive matches always banning them, says a lot about how sheep-like the Destiny community is.

swap out that last warlock build's contraverse for briarbinds and chaos accelerant for child and you've got long range covered as well :p just pop rift and tag someone at long range, and let the void soul deal with em while you get closer
Undenying Tempest comes with Cascade point and I have is with Dynamic Sway Reduction and a max 88+ range roll. Ppl sleep on it, but shooting this smg close to 900rpm should be illegal by itself.
Day ?? of asking for solar titan grenade spam. Solar titan, ashen wake, fusion grenade, and fighting the lion. The entire gameplay loop is "Shoot fighting lion, throw grenade, get both back on kill" which leaves a lot of what you equip completely up to preference, however I would recommend Roaring Flames, as that's really easy to build up to 3 stacks for 1 shot grenades. This build does resemble other double GL builds, except this time, your second GL is solar, and tied to your grenade cooldown, leaving your kinetic slot open for anything. I personally like to use 1 of 3 things for my kinetic 1. Any 120/140 handcannon, as they pair wonderfully with the lion, 2. A primary with well rounded, as you can very consistently get 2 stacks with all the grenades you can throw, or 3: A primary with at least demo, but preferably demo/wellspring for those times you miss the grenade kill and need to reduce the cooldown as quickly as you can.
Trinity is good anyways. It can one shot under 6 res if you have the arc perk procd. Been using it for a long time. It’s not as consistent as others but it is fun. Especially for corner campers or barricades
Why not try the first build but with Bakris hunter instead? It gives free dmg boost to both Stasis and Arc weapons and gives either a gap closer to use the smg or a way to run away

You can use Trinity Ghoul to one shot while radiant all of the time. I would see CoolGuy Frosteez build for reference. You can use Trinity ghoul and rapid fire ranger'a weaken to trigger Stylish executioner for invisibility. Semi-auto striker for armor charge. I'd go with Vanishing step as 2nd aspect. I'd use omnioculus for the DR and x2 smoke grenades. Increase chances to proc stylish executioner. Echo of Harvest for kills on a weakened opponent to create orbs and void breach. Echo of Starvation for devour. Echo of Vigilance for overshield and Echo of Persistence for longer overshield, devour, and invisibility. x3 arc surge for one shot to 193. Time dilation to increase time armor charge is up. Reaper for more orbs. Magnetic grenade for the wombo combo with smoke bomb. Impact induction and focusing strike for more grenade/ class ability energy. Firepower from orbs from wombo/combo vs other. Slug/shotgun/SMG/Siderarm ideally with demolitionist in 1st slot. So you'll have devour, invisibility, overshields, one shot bow, wombo/combo.
The first build can be better on strand warlock with thread of isolation and weavers trance. And for exotic armor ophidian aspect or eye of another world.
I've been using Suros regime (slower shot version) with warlock void/arc build paired with aeon soul/briarbinds or aeon soul/gateway artist, and it almost feels like a crime.
ticuu is really fun with ember of combustion inside a well, that being said its actually really good in pvp by yourself or with a buddy or two (one person can hipfire for sacred flame, the others can ADS fire to kill). my friends and i do this and run around in pvp like a bunch of rat king hunters my ticuu builds are these: *stasis warlock* grenade: duskfield rift: healing aspects: bleak watcher, frostpulse/iceflare bolts fragments: refraction, durance, torment, last is your choice but I use hedrons exotic armor: doesn't really matter too much, I use eye of another world I slow enemies down or freeze them with my abilities, then just get an easy kill with sacred flame. I use frostpulse + demolitionist peacebond to deal with shotgun rushers *solar warlock* super: preference (well in pve) grenade: fusion melee: preference rift: empowering aspects: heat rises, icarus dash (touch of flame + any in pve) fragments: resolve, torches, ashes, combustion (pve) or char (pvp) exotic armor: i use mantle of battle harmony (pvp) or phoenix protocol/mantle of battle harmony (pve) but in pvp it doesnt really matter too much, just depends on what you run When you are radiant or in an empowering rift, ticuu body shots against primed targets can kill, so i build around that

If that first build needs artifact mods, its not worth setting up in my eyes... It's a ticking time bomb for its expiration date once the mods disappear... :/ Id rather a build thats great on its own, but enhanced a bit with mods ya know? That way you can always run it without having the hole of the mods missing.

Trinity ghouls tri-arrow will trigger the sever artifact on strand as well. Weaken enemies and lower their damage output from a distance
That Skyburners build could be really, *really* well translated into PvE with Caliban's Hand, couldn't it?

Thread of Severing can also trigger from a single Trinity Ghoul tri-arrow, if you want it to do yet another thing in one arrow.

When I found out that Trinity Ghoul was actually good in PvP I started using Verity's Brow.

It's not going to get a nerf, everything broken about this is tied to the artifact. This is exactly *why* they retire them every season.

You can use Trinity Ghoul to one shot while radiant all of the time. I would see CoolGuy Frosteez build for reference.
You can use Trinity ghoul and rapid fire ranger'a weaken to trigger Stylish executioner for invisibility. Semi-auto striker for armor charge. I'd go with Vanishing step as 2nd aspect. I'd use omnioculus for the DR and x2 smoke grenades. Increase chances to proc stylish executioner. Echo of Harvest for kills on a weakened opponent to create orbs and void breach. Echo of Starvation for devour. Echo of Vigilance for overshield and Echo of Persistence for longer overshield, devour, and invisibility. x3 arc surge for one shot to 193. Time dilation to increase time armor charge is up. Reaper for more orbs. Magnetic grenade for the wombo combo with smoke bomb. Impact induction and focusing strike for more grenade/ class ability energy. Firepower from orbs from wombo/combo vs other. Slug/shotgun/SMG/Siderarm ideally with demolitionist in 1st slot. So you'll have devour, invisibility, overshields, one shot bow, wombo/combo.
The first build can be better on strand warlock with thread of isolation and weavers trance. And for exotic armor ophidian aspect or eye of another world.

0:24 they nerfed forerunner severely… not just PvP but PvE too I always use it but now I can’t… pain, if my depression wasn’t bad enough.
I've been using Suros regime (slower shot version) with warlock void/arc build paired with aeon soul/briarbinds or aeon soul/gateway artist, and it almost feels like a crime.

Ive been using the bow which has tracking arrows in pve, its monstrous for ad clear now
ticuu is really fun with ember of combustion inside a well, that being said its actually really good in pvp by yourself or with a buddy or two (one person can hipfire for sacred flame, the others can ADS fire to kill). my friends and i do this and run around in pvp like a bunch of rat king hunters
my ticuu builds are these:
*stasis warlock*
grenade: duskfield
rift: healing
aspects: bleak watcher, frostpulse/iceflare bolts
fragments: refraction, durance, torment, last is your choice but I use hedrons
exotic armor: doesn't really matter too much, I use eye of another world
I slow enemies down or freeze them with my abilities, then just get an easy kill with sacred flame. I use frostpulse + demolitionist peacebond to deal with shotgun rushers
*solar warlock*
super: preference (well in pve)
grenade: fusion
melee: preference
rift: empowering
aspects: heat rises, icarus dash (touch of flame + any in pve)
fragments: resolve, torches, ashes, combustion (pve) or char (pvp)
exotic armor: i use mantle of battle harmony (pvp) or phoenix protocol/mantle of battle harmony (pve) but in pvp it doesnt really matter too much, just depends on what you run
When you are radiant or in an empowering rift, ticuu body shots against primed targets can kill, so i build around that
Just a thought/question, could you swap to stasis/ hunter and use mask of bakris to further improve on the trinity ghoul's performance?
PvP class ability refresh build and use the Dodge for damage surge.

If that first build needs artifact mods, its not worth setting up in my eyes... It's a ticking time bomb for its expiration date once the mods disappear... :/ Id rather a build thats great on its own, but enhanced a bit with mods ya know? That way you can always run it without having the hole of the mods missing.

Oathkeepers damage buff only applies to the arrow impact, and it doesnt work at all in pvp.
