It was a very good laptop. It had a durable casing and the battery lasted for many years. In the current MSI I had to replace it for the second time. Thank you for this video

I guess, the description of your problem is too vague. Did you try to turn it on? ;) I'd start with checking the power supply if it doesn't turn on completely. If it does, I'd connect external display and see, what happens then. If that display also remains black, I'd start to remove memory and all the drives and try then. If still nothing happens, an analyzer card could help.
I remember my uncle having a notebook from around that time from HP, but I think it was AMD based... underside looks familiar though. I tried to upgrade that to the maximum allowed but that was not much... Only 3GB RAM was supported, even if you put 4GB into it. And although it has an S-ATA connector, it wouldn't recognize a SSD... So that were so major flaws that my uncle switched to a Windows 10 PC earlier this year (finally!) and Windows XP x64 could finally be put to rest ;)
"Only 3GB RAM was supported": It is due to the 32bit system. 32bit did not support more than 3.2GB. You could check with a 64bit Linux to see if the hardware is limited to 32bit or just WinXP. If WinXP, there was a 64bit edition which was able to address more memory. As I have had a HP desktop which had the hardware 32bit, I think yours will be 32bit too.

It tries and kind of connects, but it won't connect properly so I can not browse any sites. I was wondering what the problem may be? I tried both with my phones internet and my regular internet connection. Are the connections too modern for it? I have tried both wireless and with wires.
The old cyrix laptops and the Transmeta systems are quite rare and a cooler items.. Those wyse laptops should also be rare too.. so many get sent to recycling companies Both are a good bet for collectors.. like the old blit terminals .. super rare.. never seem one in real life.
I had transmeta notebook back then. Brought it back into the shop after 3 days as it was too slow and instable. It was unfortunately not usable as a daily horse. Anyway, this video is not about a rare notebook, or what is better or worse. It's about "I got a notebook, what can I do with it?"

I don't know, check the specs, which are written on the power supply. You need the same voltage and polarity. And it has to deliver at least as much current, as the original. (original is 18.5V, 3.5A)
Hello, you can use any DDR1 memory with at least 333MHz. I used two sticks of 400MHz DDR1 RAM with each 1GB in capacity. As far as I know, this is the maximum, you can get.

Hi, you don't need a HP hard drive, actually HP never made own hard drives as far as I know. What you need is any 2,5" laptop hard drive with 44-pin IDE connector. I know this notebook from the very first day and it was sold in Germany. But you are right, it has been used to write Cyrillic from time to time, that's why there were stickers on the keys. I removed them, as I cleaned the device.

Yes it is Good laptop but Weight 3kg i use Windows 7. It runs minecraftt with 40-60fps but i upgraded to 3gbram

No way to set it in BIOS. Boot into the operation system and set it from there.
