One thing this man does that's outstanding. Not buying every thing from huge big company's. Chains for example. BUILDING YOUR OWN. IS BETTER! and real special.
You’re either the coolest guy I know or you’re drunk or you hide your anger amazingly. I would’ve had a complete come-apart if my new piece of equipment was missing a sheer bolt and I had to dump $400 of seed corn on the ground. Good man, Andy
Tks for the video Mr Andy. I hope your writing a book.. with your knowledge and talent. There would be alot of people who would benefit from it. Like people who built Farm equipment.. Please pass a Happy Mother's Day along for Mrs Andy.. Great too see the kids make a cameo in the video.. The bikes have been useful.. thats good
Andy , really love the length of your videos, lots a great quality content . Looks like we could get some unseasonably cool weather coming in toward the end of next week for the eastern half of the nation
That must give you total confidence it the build quality of that piece of (junk) machinery. You showing this video must have done their sales a power of good.
When I ran my lawn, landscaping and tree business it was kinda like what I watch on your channel, something always breaking down, wasn't unusual to drop $50,000 a year in repair and supplies for the shop.
I just noticed you wear your belt and Yohr suspenders too. Just like my dad with his jeans and Jean long sleeve shirt. That was his daily farm work attire
And in other news, there has been a string of spare tire thefts at Hourigan Family Dairy Farms. The brazen thief first hit the MAS fuel trailer (leaving all the fuel though). Next the thief went for the seed trailer. The fuel trailer lost a 2004 truck tire. It was very rare and had sentimental value to Andy. 😂
We got to see and learn the inner workings of that seed tender early. Maybe the thin bolt was in it, to be on the safe side. Getting used with new equipment always takes little time.
Andy I'm not sure but believe I would be sending the company that I bought the seed tender from a copy of this video let them know you spent half of day working on it before using it great vidg I grew up on dairy farm takes me back to a lot of hard work but good times as well miss the fresh milk
I've got a 500 gallon fuel tank that I've been meaning to put a gauge on for 30+ years. I learned how to tell the level good enough by tapping on the flat end with something that I don't really need one though. Just need to paint it every so often where I knocked off the paint from checking the fuel.
Andy did ask Charlie that use her truck?😅😅😅, happy you switch good beers miller lite ,pbr, miller high life, coors and coors light America beer . Great video Andy keep up good work
We have two of the identical seed tenders except for ours are pro box styles. The company is 60 miles away from here. Have found best not to open the door wide open, to much load and to much rush of seed if you know what I mean. Have had great experience with this tender. While at the place we learned alot from them. They ship these units all over the world. I'm happy with easiload. I see you have trouble with sliding tube and I'm going to paint graphite on it to see that cures it. Just my idea.
Take a tour at the Easiload factory and when you get to the guy who assemblies the auger drive system, grab him up and explain how shear bolts and cotter pins should be assembled. Use some colorful language while educating him.
I bought a seed tender made by Unverferth And so far I like it, Mine is just the basic. They use a conveyor wich I like better than the plastic auger. Hope you like it. Sure beats the hell out of handling 32 bags of seed !
I would take a look at the Scully Golden tank gauge for the fuel trailer. The float is suspended on a Kevlar string and can be ordered to read in inches so the odd dimensions of that tank won’t matter. I think that design would stand up to the fuel sloshing when being moved.
Well it’s nice seeing everything going smoothly, Andy if you need me to fill in for anything let me know. I’m a lot happier where I am. I am free on the weekends -Ethan
Andy did you see deeres new gps software and beacon configuration? It slows the tractor down at the headlands by downshifting on jts own. Lifts the seeder up on its own. Turns on it’s own puts it back in the ground on its own. And gears up on its own once the seeder is planting again.
I have a similar fuel meter that the face of the meter can come off and be rotated. So I mounted the meter where it had to go, then took off the four bolts for the face and rotated it to be right side up. It looks like yours could be the same.
Looks like you bought him a newer tanker is that new I don't remember seeing that and I hope you have a good time with your planner and you don't have any problems take care of my friend
I can see your problem, Andy. You need to go to the Silver Bullets! They are my go to for solving problems. Kinda local for those of us in VA, made in our Heartland. Great video, and even new stuff isn't always ready to run.👍
Glad I am not the only one who has those type of problems. I hope that someone from the tender company watches the video who actually has a say and reaches out and makes things right. How many others are that way?
It’s seems by the amount of times you mentioned it...Things seem to “grow legs” ...Disappear...If you put a case of Bud Light out would it grow legs??...Are things that bad??
I give you alot of credit you stay calm when shit is all fxxx up when you get something new and it doesn't work it sure seems like you get your share of screwed up stuff just like me I use to get mad as hell but now in my older years I just laugh
Glad you still had a great sense of humor after that fiasco 😂, also notice there is a grease fitting under that access cover....scratching my head. Good for you on American beer, them Canadians are snobs😂
I working for my in laws greenhouse business back when I was starting out in life. Anyways, there was this Dutch grower that immigrated from Holland. We had a propane forklift for jobs. He took off with it one day to the back of the greenhouse, maybe 1200 feet. He ran out of propane at the far end, the new tanks were up at the front. He got on the intercom “ hello! Could I please have a bottle of cocaine for the yellow f$&k lifter brought to the back”. His English wasn’t great. I think about that sometimes when I see Andy’s forklift.
How convenient that I just switched delivering from Coors to Miller. Haha. Excellent timing I guess. Will have to bring you all some "free" "samples"😅😅😅😅
Andy I see 2 issues with the tender. 1. It is hooked to a Ford. 2. It isn't John Deere green and yellow. I don't know how you will ever get it to work right.
Who was the hero that posted on video " Numb Nuts doesn't use key start " and "He doesn't know what he is doin " ?? Trust me your goin the right way for a FLOP in THE GOB !!! lol your dad has a sharp set of spanner's and Bugger's of kids ha ha ha x
A bit frustrating to be repairing a brand new, unused piece of equipment, but seems to be getting pretty common these days. I would be concerned about what other shortcuts the individual did. The cotter pin kind of suggests an unhappy worker or perhaps a company struggling to get good workers. Hopefully you don't see any more issues.🤙
You may need to change the name to Farming Fixing and un “Farting” up others mistakes😂😂😂😂 Really looking forward to your planting videos this year. With the new planter and seed tender it looks like it’ll go quickly. Thank you for sharing Andy!!!!!!
These companies have no inspections anymore. Buying a new piece of equipment a farmer should be able to use at least one season without working on it. Andy you are too nice my sales rep would have taken an ass chewing for not insuring a piece of equipment works from when delivered.
If the manufacturer used load cells to measure weight an uneven load could give a misreading on the read out. When you load the cart, it needs to be even across the bin.
@@mfreund15448 I was asking a question not making a statement. I did calibrate load cells on very large bins benign stationery and load from the top center the weight was centered. Imagine for a truck scale you would need multiple load cells. With an analog to digital converter with a minicomputer to work out the math and give you a reading. I hear they do it with a truck scale as the truck moves. I have some experience with load like you do with reading and writing.
I would imagine that the person in charge of the Easyload seedtender company wishes there wasn't such a thing as RUclips right about now.
One thing this man does that's outstanding. Not buying every thing from huge big company's.
Chains for example.
BUILDING YOUR OWN.
IS BETTER! and real special.
Andy, "Some assembly required, BATTERY INCLUDED !!! " 😅😂
Onward and Upward !!
You have the greatest attitude when you run up against issues
Andy the salesman that sold you the tender should bring you a couple cases of miller lite for you fixing the tender 👍🚜
Can you imagine the next time they take this seed tender to a farm show and everyone asks: "Did you see that video on RUclips?"
You’re either the coolest guy I know or you’re drunk or you hide your anger amazingly.
I would’ve had a complete come-apart if my new piece of equipment was missing a sheer bolt and I had to dump $400 of seed corn on the ground.
Good man, Andy
I don’t drink enough to get drunk
I wish corn seed was only $400 per 100lbs. I paid $367 cnd per 50lb bag for fall feed corn. I grow it an turn cows out to feed. Save on hay
Bill I was thinking the same thing. I would be livid about that
I heard him yelling at the top of his channel, potential 100k customers sees all!
In defense of the manufacturer: It’s called “Easiload”. Not “EasiUnload”
Seed tender sure saves money. Have a good day.
The bikes have been useful.. thats good
It amazes Me how You take some manufacture's componence in stride. We made the same switch up here on Our choice of beer.
Cool hand Luke, you are. Amazing how often you need to fix and repair the new gear. Makes for a good video, and admire your patience.
Your editor is doing a real good job. The comments are golden 😊.
Please wish Ms. Andy a very Happy Mothers Day for us! Keep on keeping on!
Andy , really love the length of your videos, lots a great quality content . Looks like we could get some unseasonably cool weather coming in toward the end of next week for the eastern half of the nation
Hi Andy !
good job to finishing building that seed thender.
Thanks Andy for your time and have a good day !
Good choice of beverage. You never seem rattled with all the issues you encounter
I got aggravated just watching this
Great Attitude Andy 👍
I just noticed you wear your belt and Yohr suspenders too. Just like my dad with his jeans and Jean long sleeve shirt. That was his daily farm work attire

No ! they didn't get robbed "They just grew legs " or "little fingers " WON THEM " ha ha ha
We got to see and learn the inner workings of that seed tender early. Maybe the thin bolt was in it, to be on the safe side.
Getting used with new equipment always takes little time.
Miller's is a good beer when corn planting.
That 'guy' is a sharp learner. I'd give him a go.
That’s a real efficient way to fill the seed hoppers on the corn planter.
Love that truck. Nice Florida Joe
From the grin on your face I take it hitting the button a second time on the seed trailer shuts the feed off. Best of luck with corn planting!
It’s always amazing to see your vast abilities and how you are able to adapt, improvise, and overcome the challenges of day to day farming operations.
Nice to see you having a cold one during a hard day’s work!
Good to see the same brand I drink too!
Andy I'm not sure but believe I would be sending the company that I bought the seed tender from a copy of this video let them know you spent half of day working on it before using it great vidg I grew up on dairy farm takes me back to a lot of hard work but good times as well miss the fresh milk
You have amazing patience. Think i would be doing my nut having to mess around fixing new stuff, While not getting on.
If you loosen the 4 bolts on the fuel gauge you can rotate the screen (and interior) and thus mount it the other way around.
Good thing Andy can fix or fabricate pretty much anything.
Good Video Andy Thumbs up as always. Give my regards to "Numb Nuts" he seems like my kind of Guy 😂Catch the Next.

Electric start didn’t notice myself.Well hell that’s probably why that key was in the way if you turned the recoil more.
Hey Andy, best Saturday night entertainment I’ve seen in a long time !!
John
Andy did ask Charlie that use her truck?😅😅😅, happy you switch good beers miller lite ,pbr, miller high life, coors and coors light America beer . Great video Andy keep up good work

Learning curve for anything these days! Some kids probably would have trouble opening a bag.
Take a tour at the Easiload factory and when you get to the guy who assemblies the auger drive system, grab him up and explain how shear bolts and cotter pins should be assembled. Use some colorful language while educating him.
Good job Andy you know your stuff for sure have a wonderful day
Man, what a beautiful day on the farm.
I bought a seed tender made by Unverferth And so far I like it, Mine is just the basic. They use a conveyor wich I like better than the plastic auger. Hope you like it. Sure beats the hell out of handling 32 bags of seed !
Andy your patience is better than mine with new equipment! I hope they see this and see exactly what kind of product they “ship”
Have fun with ur new farm equipment Andy!!
Andy, I realize that throwing a fit wouldn't change the situation but how do you stay so calm? I wish I had your disposition. Good luck.
It’s good to be a day ahead of last year. You can soon lose a day but it’s great to be ahead.
I would take a look at the Scully Golden tank gauge for the fuel trailer. The float is suspended on a Kevlar string and can be ordered to read in inches so the odd dimensions of that tank won’t matter. I think that design would stand up to the fuel sloshing when being moved.
Thanks
It’s that Miller Panther Piss!
Well it’s nice seeing everything going smoothly, Andy if you need me to fill in for anything let me know. I’m a lot happier where I am. I am free on the weekends -Ethan

Oh man that's sounds so handy and it will never mess up! Smmh
Nice seed truck andy enjoyed the video thanks
I have a similar fuel meter that the face of the meter can come off and be rotated. So I mounted the meter where it had to go, then took off the four bolts for the face and rotated it to be right side up. It looks like yours could be the same.
Miller makes you talk funny.
Calm, cool and collective
Looks like you bought him a newer tanker is that new I don't remember seeing that and I hope you have a good time with your planner and you don't have any problems take care of my friend
83,200,000 seeds, impressive!
I can see your problem, Andy. You need to go to the Silver Bullets! They are my go to for solving problems. Kinda local for those of us in VA, made in our Heartland. Great video, and even new stuff isn't always ready to run.👍
If I ever drive by I’ll drop off some other Canadian beers 🇨🇦
I’d send them a copy of the video along with a bill for your time to finish assembly of their product.
Glad I am not the only one who has those type of problems. I hope that someone from the tender company watches the video who actually has a say and reaches out and makes things right. How many others are that way?
So they have that scale system that will pause at your set pounds and you have to restart (click the button)it each time, that's nice
Great video Andy thank you.
Another very interesting video Thank you Andy
Andy, mount a small stainless mirror on that toolbox on that fuel trailer so you can at least see when you are resetting to zero.
When you roll it to zero it has a distinct feel when you reach zero
It’s seems by the amount of times you mentioned it...Things seem to “grow legs” ...Disappear...If you put a case of Bud Light out would it grow legs??...Are things that bad??
Should've had 2 pole holders from factory alot of our hoppers are like that
Wouldn't be a typical farm day without a few o-s@*t moments. LOL
Did you know they have a seed tote opener with a remote for the gate , really handy .
I’ve seen that
Andy ... I'm seeing a Bumper crop ariseing this fall ... you are going to reep the benefit of all the familys hard work ... Yea ....😂

Sucks when u buy something new and gotta fix a problem on it but seems like it's working out well hope u like it
I’m suprised you were able to find 4 vise grips… your shop must be organized or something crazy like that 🤣
How convenient that I just switched delivering from Coors to Miller. Haha. Excellent timing I guess. Will have to bring you all some "free" "samples"😅😅😅😅
Thanks enjoyed watching 👍👍

If you were putting your seed in the seed bend's with bag's, how many bag's would it take per seed bend. 🤔
Holy crap it now works with some assembly required lol
Nice trailer do u have a solar system on it as well good luck with your planting journey
With the Chinese made ST tires you will probably need four spares! Lol
Don't forget your Jack and lug nut wrench for your trailer?
When you are finished is the auger still full of seed? How do you unload. It before you split the auger in the two sections? Does it run backward too?
Mount a truck mirror to the back of the toolbox
so surprised that the manufacturer didn't include a sight gauge and /or a meter.
Look how the outlet comes out of the bottom of the tank. That will answer your question.
You may need to change the name to Farming Fixing and un “Farting” up others mistakes😂😂😂😂 Really looking forward to your planting videos this year. With the new planter and seed tender it looks like it’ll go quickly. Thank you for sharing Andy!!!!!!
You should camo paint the fuel trailer to hide in field against a fence row but then you would never find it.
It's what we call I get your home Tyre it may not match but it's there you can put it on in an emergencyeah you can put it on an emergency
Crank handle should be splined to the shaft for adjustment
That's for adjusting the tightness of the tarp. Not for the handle position
Andy is fuel and other trailer all you would pull with truck.
Is that a load is what I am asking?
These companies have no inspections anymore. Buying a new piece of equipment a farmer should be able to use at least one season without working on it. Andy you are too nice my sales rep would have taken an ass chewing for not insuring a piece of equipment works from when delivered.
wonder if you turn the meter the other way and flip the face itself 180
You're lucky you found that Ford to drag that kinda weight around
Is Jimmy Sills your technical director? {Sarcasm}
Makin your beer flat. 😆
If the manufacturer used load cells to measure weight an uneven load could give a misreading on the read out. When you load the cart, it needs to be even across the bin.
No it doesn’t
So Semi scales won’t work unless the semi in centered side to side and from to back?
Your have no experience with load cells.
