For once a truth is known it cannot be unknown, it can only be denied. Kenya and Africa as a whole need this kind of leaders with integrity. He doesn't need to keep quiet against corruption to remain Deputy Governo of Siaya County, he's conscious in transparantie and accountability as a leader is above all others. The worst thing about corruption as a system of governance, is that it works so well. Where success is concerned, people are not measured in inches, or pounds, or college degrees, or family background; they are measured by the size of their thinking and integrity. Siaya MCAs are dreaming to think they can bring this Deputy Governor down through impeachment. The senate will knock it down with a KO 😅.

There’s a world of a difference between Accountancy and Law in terms of what is right and wrong. What’s legal may not be right in the eyes of a visionary accountant. DG Oduol. Unfortunately Siaya is not atypical of most Kenyan counties. There are very few Kenyans who are like you and who are willing to stand for what is good, true, proper and honest.
According to former National Anti-corruption commission (precursor to EACC) less than 20% of us Kenyans have a moral rationale not to engage in corruption. The remaining 80% will engage in theft of public assets when given the opportunity.
What ails our country is a lack of moral values, short sighted thinking, tolerance of political expediency and sheer greed. My observation is that the antidote against these ingrained vices can only be inculcated in young people below 16 years through structured learning and through training by example of good parenting, schools or the church; or by a rare religious or moral epiphany.
May God protect you and preserve you for future service to this nation.

By what arrangement? Gumbo wanted to run for gaubanatorial seat. It was Oduol who was more on freelance mode to run as either Orengo's deputy or Gumbo's deputy. He could have formed a formidable team with Gumbo, but he chose to run as Orengo's deputy.
Secondly a DG's role is not to checkmate a Governor. Any DG who gets into that seat with the notion of check-mating his boss leads to a dysfunctional relationship and a recipe for disaster. You can't check-mate your boss. The institution in the county to oversight (not check-mate) the Executive is the county assembly. A DG has no function in a county other than supporting the Governor and carrying out functions as may assigned to him by the Governor. He has no independent functions assigned to him by the constitution.

The current Ugenya MP is on his second term and, on each occasion, he has ran against Raila backed ODM candidates and won. Alego had a Wiper MP in 2013 after defeating a Raila backed ODM candidate. In the same year Obado won Migori Governor seat against a Raila backed ODM candidate. Currently there is an Asian MP who defeated an ODM candidate in Kisumu. Examples of political diversity in Luo Nyanza are galore for those with eyes to see. But if you have chosen to remain blind then, shauri yako!
