    I used to do this with a purple worm with a white tail when I was a kid (did not know a lot back then) and it works great! Thanks for these awesome tips Randy and hope you are having a good day!

    I learned this technique many years ago in a club tournament. The boater gave me some of these ultra vibe worms and I haven’t put them down. I use a regular off set worm hook, but will try an EWG. I usually “peg” my weight with a bobber stopper. You can fish it on bare banks, slow roll it deep, and even flip it into laydowns. Very versatile and inexpensive. I have caught bass year around on it down to 45 degree water. I keep four colors of these worm, watermelon seed, green pumpkin, some kind of purple and a black and blue color. I use the 6 inch version. I have tried the larger, longer magnum ultra vibe worm, but for some reason have not had the same success as the small worm.

    This technique works awesome on Lake Toho. Been on a couple trips there. And the speed worm worked good in all that mill foil down there.

    Thanks Randy. I’ll give it a shot. I used a technique similar to this in the 80s at Lake Degray and absolutely stroked em. I don’t know if zoom was around then, I used a Culprit worm in the willow grass. As you said, it was late in the summer. Thanks for the video, I had completely forgot about doing this. I couldn’t run around much, at the time I ran a 12 foot aluminum with a 15 Evinrude, and proud to have it. I hung around Arlie Moore. Good memories. Thanks.

    I use only Spike It markers. You don’t have the risk of spilling the dip version or getting the spray on your boat. Just put the bait against a piece of cardboard and color away. You can get color transition down with the marker. The dip? No way! Thanks for the tip, Randy.

    In the video you say to have the hook point come out of the worm on the same side as the point in the curl tail but then you rigged it with the point of the hook coming out of the side of the worm opposite of the point in the worm......so which is correct,,,or does it even matter?

  • @scottbassman123

  • @brianwills4398
    @brianwills4398 6 месяцев назад

    Probably a silly question that i should know the answer to, but ill ask anyhow. Why a glass beed to protect the knot on a Caroline rig and no beed on a texas rig?

    • @scottbassman123
      @scottbassman123 6 месяцев назад

      The bead is not to protect the knot on a Carolina rig bc it is stopped by a swivel way up b4 the knot and is for sound only when the weight hits the beads.. a glass bead on a tx rig will.cut ur line when that glass bead is chipped and it chips very easy ..

    • @brianwills4398
      @brianwills4398 6 месяцев назад

      @scottbassman123 I understand how it works, and yes the beed also protects the swivel knot

    How many different "SECRET" ways can you retrieve a worm just under the surface?. Must be that $500 mega-bass rod and $400 reel that makes it a "SECRET".
