    I am almost losing being a "beginner" with a bit of years of experience and I can confirm I used to obsess about small little unnoticeable details, which are the number one reason why I don't finish works, and I lose motivation half-way. I look at the tiny details and think "I'm too lazy for this shit" lol.

    OMG thank you so much for this! I love dramatic lighting in paintings and always struggled to literally paint the light beams and shadows on my normal painting layer. Of course I use overlay etc., twitch the levels, curves at the end of the process and work with masks through the painting but I never thought about using levels with masks for the lighting itself. You saved me so much future working hours on my pieces! Again thank you, much appreciated

    Can u please let me know what is this art style called. Like u didn't even used pencil and all u just used soft brush and went with it. I want to learn it

    • @TheGeekArtist
      @TheGeekArtist  Месяц назад

      It's more like a digital version of plein air studies. It's something that comes with experience. You can look at an image and develop an idea or sense of what goes where. And you can sort of replicate in your painting directly in colors, without using pencils. But please don't get intimidated by this. It's something that comes naturally with time and experience. The more you practice plein air studies, the better your senses will get.
      But this was not the topic of the video. The painting process was just a background visual filler. The main subject was how to transform that painting into something that looks dramatic using cinematic lighting effects.
      I hope you found that part of the video interesting. 🙂
