I'm a woman and I use this as it is the best one I've found, too. Ladies' razors suck, especially for those of us with enough facial hair that we need to shave every few days, too (more common than you think, guys!). Too bad the cheap internet razors aren't this good, as they're expensive.
I use Gillette Proglide and they are great! I do also use DE Merkur progress. But Gillette is far better for those who has sensible skin. However i recommend very good shave soap with the oil. It makes your shave feeling so damn good!

Your mileage may vary I have tried both and the are about the same. Mach 3 blades don't last as long as fusion but mach 3 are also cheaper.

No. There is lube on the shaving head on the top and bottom of the blades. It does work well.
