    thank you very much , but please can you help me? , I use financial time series with MoDWT , what is db(N=?) appropriate ? , I mean use (1 or what)

      In some cases we have to try different wavelets and have to compare results. I recommend db5, db6, db10, coif6, bior6.8, sym4.

    The images of wavelets you show are > 0 . But one of the properties of wavelets is that they need to have a mean of 0. Are you using purely positive wavelets? is that even possible?
