try experimenting with all the notes in between, especially the notes below and above and between the whole steps you are used to playing around. like slide into the notes that are on key from a half step below with a grace note if you know what that is(it steals its time from the note you are playing basically, you get a little whoop sound when coming from below). then just find some good places to utilize those sounds. they key hear is to use the off notes *in passing*, dont end on them, just use them to get to the note you want to play. also when you do a big bend try adding some vibrato, lock into the bend note with your hand and shake your forearm, like try shaking the neck of the guitar while holding the bent-to-note. feel is the hardest part about guitar so it takes tons of practice to get beautiful every time. fuck the pedal in all honestly, you dont need that shit at all, its just a distraction from getting better and muddying up your mistakes. gl hf
@@omniscientindisplay7217 great advice man. I appreciate it! Interestingly my guitar teacher just mentioned “microtones” to me this week as well and also described them as “the notes in between” haha. Also called them “decimal notes” since it was all the numbers between whole numbers.
