Upon close inspection, it's strange that they're so angry, seeing as if you decipher the text (untangling all the double negatives), they're actually agreeing with each other throughout the entire song.
It's like many arguments - not seeing that they are both saying the same thing and getting offended by the tone/what they assumed they meant.
That's true. I was analyzing that too. They're actually saying the other is right. I feel like the song should be sung in some parts as the character is more concerned rather than angry...

I love this interpretation it feels so different and authentic in its own right
Technically, it's one of the worst I've seen so far on my journey after the movie. But it does feel like the one with the more character and authenticity

This seems really easy but it isn't, cause like literally acting while singing is extremely difficult, like if you mess up one word too you are doomed, these actors did a really really really good job💯. BTW I'm here after tick.. tick.. 💥.

I tend to gravitate more toward musicals anyway because movie musical have actors who sing rather than singers who act. I like this version more than the movie's. This version conveys more emotion, snark and anger of a couple's argument.
And the delays convey a better idea of each person trying to slow down and convey their emotions without saying something angry.
And then it turns into an argument anyway haha

I think it’s a great version but I don’t like the pauses between the words than drag the tempo at the beginning
I personally thought that made it better. It made the line feel like he (his character) was fishing for what to say and it made the scene feel more natural.
From an acting standpoint it was better

No offense, but after watching the movie with Andrew Garfield and Vanessa Hudgens are just way better at singing. Then again that could be due to the fact they were probably in a recording booth, but I still think they would sound better live. This kind of sounds like a dog is being murdered. The singing is making my ears hurt a little bit. Remember though I said no offense.

Literally, two different versions of professional singing. I feel like this is why people hate when Broadway musicals or Off-Broadway musicals are brought to the TV screen, because bs like this ends up being said. I feel like the TV screen takes away from the essence of live, authentic singing and emotion that can't be displayed in a fully produced and edited movie adaptation. It's just incomparable.
