Thanks Diego - great work, so tidy and well documented. You spend a lot of time helping others and you do so on your own terms and we are happy with this. Look forward to the next video - whenever - and whatever!
Being a young man I am really impressed with how you jump right into anything from building a woodshed to milling your own wood great job 👏 😊
You are the most amazing young man! You give me hope for the future. I'm just an old Aussie grandma, and I thank you for the chance to watch you.
Watching you work is therapeutic.

I love how you all look after each other, what a wonderful community and way of life. I've been really enjoying your vids!!
Good job Diego. You live such a fun life and you're not stuck at some awful 8 to 5 office job. Good for you!!
Diego your content is top notch, I understand the time it takes to edit video and if you can’t make it next week just take a week off and you’ll be set for the next week after that. The fact that you upload so consistently every week is amazing and we can’t ask for much more than that, Thank you for the awesome content! Your channel is a hidden gem in the RUclips space! 😊
Nice about 400 dollars worth of wood cut the way you want and it really better because your constantly learning and growing. This is what building is all about congratulations
That’s some beautiful wood you have there. Wonderful job Diego so good to see Julia.
It’s really nice to observe real 2x4 lumber
Visited there years ago. Look forward to your posts when you're able. Thanks much for sharing.
Thank you Diego. I am proud of all your work. Yes i do agree, you must live and be human. In my opinion, it is your channel, you post or do whatever you want with it.
I am here and praying for you.
Hi Diego and the lovely Julia !! "The couple who can do dishes together, stays together !!" Remember Diego, "Slowly, Slowly !!" The food looked very yummy !!!
Me thinks Miss Julia is a "Keeper !!"
Fabulous video, I was mesmerized the whole way thru. Love your commitment to quality in everything you do.
Great to see that you and the lovely Julia spend some quality time together , and I'm sure that we will all enjoy watching you using that framing timber on some future project . If you have a surfit of kindling I'm sure that neighbour Al would appreciate a donation to his kindling stockpile , thanks for another great entertaining video Diego
A track saw would be a nice addition to your tool collection for this job.
Once the first cut is made a table saw could be quicker to rip the boards after.
Awesome videos man.
These vids are so addictive. In Toronto firewood is $1000 a bush cord delivered. So I’m picking up fruit tree lumber where I find it like Diego picks up red oak by the road side. Have to start somewhere but I’ll need a pick up truck soon
Love all the work you have done on your place .wow
You are so meticulous it's a pleasure to watch you. You do you and see you when you're ready 😊
Hi Diego, just wanted 2 tell not 2 stop doin wut ur doin cuz ur my inspiration. Thx 4 sharing.

Classic. Take some time off before the winter!
Love your Videos. They are like a Getaway from the stressing City-Routine for me...
Greeting from Germany
TRUE 2x4's- priceless!
I appreciate your efforts and really enjoy the content you are sharing with us
Hi Diego! Great videos. I just wanted to share a tip about covering lumber and firewood with tarps. Hope you don’t mind. The tip is to only cover the top, never the sides. If one covers the sides the air under the tarp becomes very humid and the wood will not dry and will eventually be ruined.
Diego you never have too much kindling. It goes fast unless you have a continuous fire going.
really enjoy your channel thank you and your place is great
Verry detail and professional.. good job
Great video. You have a beautiful home and are very talented.
Diego I hope that you get it that there's so many of us who enjoy watching the channel and I would like to say that with the many comments that we write I'm hoping that you don't look at the comments about anything that may be shared is not taken as negative criticism. I really think that you are doing an awesome job with your content and editing even though you may come across a comment from the occasional hater please try not to take it personally. I'm hoping to see amazing channel growth in time 😉 keep up the good work 👍
I wana watch you use that lumber to build your dream. In the meantime please consider building some saw horses.
you do a great job doing what you to put out your videos
Diego, there is no point in living off grid if you are then tied to some arbitrary timetable! You might as well have a job you have to clock in to. You decide how and when you post!
We just appreciate it when you do, so stay chill and take care of yourself! Love to Julia too from another Julia🏴
Pick up a cheap string of LED lights and put them up in your Shed loft to light it up
Would recommend using a screw or clamps to hold the board to the horses to prevent any unwanted movement. Love the videos, keep them coming!!
It's very nice of you to have the ambition to put out a weekly video, but I can assure you that most of the people I follow take a week (or more) breaks regularly. Your videos are great, we'll have patience, we do want you to have a life!
Thanks for the video.
Very impressive.
Diego, I think you would benefit in your current method by getting a rip guide for your circ saw . Once you've made your first straight cut, you can put the rip guide against it and easily replicate measurements without having to try to snap your line and follow it again and again. I enjoy watching your videos, thank you for your hard work! Keep it up!
Keep it coming.
Love your videos!
Truly enjoy your vids and content. Don’t get caught up in a certain number of days for the next. Better to not say next Saturday and go on and post a message if very long delay for uncontrollable reasons. The lumber production was well done and enjoyed it all. Above all always be safe and be careful
Excellent work friend. Sell the four x two’s. And get yourself a table saw. Worked for me 👍. Great content btw.
appreciate the effort you put into the vidsi really do enjoy watching. you do inspire me to want to get out and do more. thanks again.
the being said do what you can manage just dont disapear forever. lol.
Those are some beautiful 2x4s. Well done! 🪵
Post when you can, it’s worth any wait
Like your vids so i subscribed, greetings from the Netherlands (Europe)
Hello Diego, I would like to suggest for your Skil saw is to buy yourself a Guide rail I can highly recommend it really makes a positive difference in your cuts and once you have acquired one of these guide rails you will probably scratch your head and most likely say to yourself why didn’t I get one of these earlier?! Ha ha..
All I can say is, do yourself a favor.☝️
It’s really good to see you coming along so well. You know what they say you only get out of life what you put it.
And you are a good example of that keep up the good work Diego. 🤙 aloha..👋😉
P.S. Give Al a big hug and a firm handshake🤝from me the next time you see him he’s a good man as well as yourself.
And also as you probably well know by now, experience is the best teacher.
Sincerely
Douglas Leslie
You're a one man show, That's Gotta be tough, Don't know how you do it all to put out one video, Wow man my respect to you brother.👍👍👍 By the way I'm a new subscriber, Enjoyed the video.
To buy lumber at a lumber yard like the lumber that you are milling is very expensive. Years ago lumber was true 2 by 4 inches thick. The lumber you can but these days is garbage. Full of knots and crooked. I really like the way you are stacking it. You put dunnage down on each stack and lumber between each piece. That is the true way to do it. It is going to dry the way it is supposed to.
Bro has enough 2x4 to start on an additional for the baby 😉
You are rockin! You might really benefit from a worm drive skilsaw... I think check your blade too, it sounds not as sharp as you'd enjoy. I do a lot of milling like this and the 'big foot' skllsaw is the tool! Faster, lots of power and tons of control... you might like it, take a look and see. Love your channel and all you do!
Making better lumber then I do on my saw mill😂❤
You should invest in an inexpensive table saw; once you cut a straight edge, you can then cut the 2 bys to width.
I think you need to start making your own brand chopping blocks with your logo stamped on it. You love woodworking therefore you should make wood products for households, simple things that can be shipped.
You need a table saw! ☺
Man are you fast. You cut all of that lumber in 16 or 17 minutes.
You could probably do some cool projects with the live edge trimmings.
Why didn't you use the table saw to cut the slabs into 2X4's?
You need to add some solar powered Security Lights out there at your cabin Diego. Less wastage on Gas and Money in the long run.
a lot of work yo
Attendance check☑️
Diego you need to invest in a wormgear driven skilsaw itdesigned for the kinda cutting you are doing and make the job much easier for you
From what I understand about stickering and stacking lumber, they say that the stickers should be spaced every 16 inches if that's any help for you.
Brilliant video and amazing content. So so interesting about all of the miling process. What do you do with all the offcuts and sawdust if I can ask a stupid question.
Hope all is well, take care and greetings being sent from across the pond in England.
Hey Diego. Have you thought of using a table saw to rip the 2X instead of the Skil saw?
I have a list that have either stepped away altogether or slowed right down. Its better for you to pace yourself and know your limits. Make a short unrelated clip at times for a break. BTW a nice start on your board supply!
Did you ever think about getting a worm drive SkilSaw?
I ain't never cutting wood. I just happened by chance on your channel. Extremely talented and gifted. Love the cute little trees the most. How come you don't use solar? Jw
Love the videos y dont u cut the live edge and use the table saw just asking
Just wondering why you are cutting them bigger than "store bought" lumber, as a bought 2 x 4 is only 1.5 x 3.5 inches. It will be fine as long as you have enough for a whole project, the problem will be if you have to mix the two as they won't match. I enjoy watching you work 😊
😊
You really need a table saw. It would speed things up and help keep your lines straight
Just a suggestion, might want to invest in a few clamps "F" type and clamp your work to your sawhorses.
Pretty cool man! What's' the reasoning behind strapping them together? do they move as they dry or just to kinda help warp or what? I seen a few of your videos recently, I like your stuff man!
Diego, I still worry of putting all that wood under a Cedar shake roof. Fire danger is real and metal roof like on your cabin provide a safer shelter
👍
I would build a solar system with adissional gas generator so i would be really Offgrid. greetings from Germany
How about a track saw? They are a little price but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.
use a track saw, Festool makes good ones
DIEGOOOO
This is one of those channels that you can watch at 1.5x or 1.75 and you’ll be fine. Give it a try.
Would a table saw be an option??
May I ask the reasoning for the way you stacked your wood spacing and rachet straps, please? Just curious from a novice.
Oops, I forgot to address that at the end of the video. The spacers allow the wood to dry. The straps keep the wood straight during the drying process.
Thanks for watching 🙏
@@DiegoTriesHard Wow thanks for the information. Great videos.
Im pretty jealous of you tbh, youre living the dream to me. Why not build a saw mill with the lumbar so you can keep dry.
the roof of the shed doesnt seem to be waterproof. what if it rain
You'll be lucky if he replies to you that's not what he does
Told you to make you a x shape saw horse.
Kudos to neighbor Joe. I wonder how much you pay for gas. I'm guessing a lot.
Why is there no electrical connection? Does he not want it?
Why aren’t you using your table saw? Wouldn’t it be easier?
You need to buy yourself a cheap table saw or turn a circular saw in to a table saw. Push the timbers not the saw 👍 thank you for the videos 👍
