- A brand new twist to our Pokemon Radical Red stream series. We're turning our hardcore runs into a RogueLyte! All mini boss battles and beyond will let us spin a wheel to earn rewards for the run, and potentially future runs! Everything is explained at the start of the stream, so rewind if you're tuning in late! :]

Bro you might have to install a tier 4 wheel starting at rematches. The additives to an already broken team is insane.

Tier 4s should be full of reviver seeds, dupe tokens, regular revives, etc. things that preserve the team
I really like how normal mode rad red difficulty is done from a design perspective, but hardcore the total opposite, especially this lategame stuff. Piling on a bunch of free one-sided buffs, banning anything "too effective" from your side while the enemies still get it, cheating AI if you play "too smart". And the biggest thing is that together, that makes all the weathers, terrains etc *non-interractable*.
That's why Reborn is still my favourite in terms of difficulty design. The fields can add some crazy buffs, but its all counterable, destroyable, or useable by you too to turn it around. It adds extra layers of strategy & counterplay rather than removing it. Keeps it feeling fair and fun once you actually pay attention and think.
Also, these bosses should be tier 4 or a tier 3 with an auto respin or something more. Your being so hard on yourself for losing mons, but these battles are on a completely different level than the other boss battles.
Really hope he takes this wheel spin rogue format to other pokemon games as well after this. Such a great way to play and watch.

i definitely think you need a tier four wheel and some slightly more buffed rewards when you reach this point of the game because these battles are impossibly hard and unfair.
i don’t see how this game can even be beat without a buffing system like you have

For hardcore free items, booster energy works, you just can't get it in cerulean cave but it's post game
Also what is up with those wheels man? Do you know the chance of you getting that many Dex nav deluxes in a row or just overall out of the amount of spins you’ve done? It’s insane, idk if that’s pure chance or something’s wrong w those wheels bc you only hit the same couple options on most of them.

Honestly, I’ll be pretty bummed if you quit rad red. I know the damage nerf is dumb but if it’s just the rematches that have it, it’s only a few battles. I’ve loved the rad rogue vods and I’d hate to see them go

If I may suggest, pokemon elite redux for the next stream game? It’s an emerald hack that gives every Pokémon basically 4 abilities. It has a built in randomizer and it’s really good imo

You should play Pokemon Dregs. You can only use and catch pokemon with base stats like 450 or less. Never mind, i remember it's a very adult story line and not appropriate for any of your young fans
I literally think he doesn't want to play RR anymore the way he threw in that mini-boss battle lol. o7 for all the fallen soldiers. But in all serious these boss fights now are just silly. Makes no sense how insane they made them. I get it's hardcore mode, but I think all the added perm battle effects are really against the spirit of pokemon.
