I acquired this kit in last years IPMS show for $20 CAD According to two reviews on Modelling Madness, there are two errors with the kit. First you cannot build Prototype #1 which is the Red & White scheme featured on the box art because the Monogram kit gives you the larger "blown" canopy. The red / white prototype #1 used the stock F-5E canopy which is smaller. Secondly, the launch rail for the pylons to mount the Sparrow AIM-7 missiles are missing. In one of the MM articles, the modeller just used plastic card to make an approximation of the launch rail for the sparrow missiles. I think I will do that for my build. Enjoy your kit
I agree with you about panel lines. Over the 55 years I have been making/building plastic kits, they have morphed from being a hobby for pleasure and fun into a ridiculously serious and self-indulgent industry (for better and worse). Also, yes, the F-20 was a sleek aircraft indeed.
@@neilhughes9310 we were always waiting for a better kit to come down the line but they never did. And now these aircraft are obsolete or out of service I don’t see anyone seriously taking them up in the future.
