I've been there to conduct a surgery for one of my high esteemed patient. And to be honest it's as cool as some part of Beverly Hills here in the United states. When next I visit Nigeria. I will go to Abia state just to visit Abiriba in Ohafia and her neighbour Arochukwu. Some of my good friends here are from there.
cool, we would love to see you there again. We just need infrastructure from the government and we would be one of the finest villages. As for the houses, we've individually modernized them. We've done our part.
Abiriba is a town with a village feel to it. The fact that almost all structures are self-built residentials speaks in volume of the industry of the people. Let the whole world know this, Abiriba was built by Abiriba people. No government effort at all. We built our primary schools, our secondary schools, our hospitals and school of midwifery. We even built the Magistrate Court and the Police buildings. We built our own water works. We built our own electricity system. We even have our own Big Ben tower. So, imagine if the government helped us in anyway? We would have topped Aba, which we also built (somehow).
And Abiriba has no fossil fuels ,[ oil, petrol , gas], at least in commercial quantities. All those shouting, "oil dey for my backyard ", take note! Oil is actually a curse!
We Abiriba people love to Invest so much in our village then what we invest in any place call city... Just imagine how Abiriba is going to look in the next 15 years coming

To be honest with you they have been like that for ages. This drown did not cover the entire city of Abiriba. There are extra ordinary buildings in this Abiriba community as at 1980s which I did not see in this video footage, that was the place they called their G.R.A that time. Even some colonial design mansions that I saw in one traditional festival in Abiriba which was recorded in early 1980s which did not appear in this footage. Abiriba have been known as small London even before the civil war and they maintain that supremacy and legacy of developing their home town. They love to help themselves as well.
This place looks like Switzerland when driving from south of France to Alpine to ski Nigeria is really beautiful Africa is well blessed this place can be made a tourist attraction for its beauty ❤❤❤

Is an organized ancestral village abriba clan, sub igbo tribe in south Eastern part of Nigeria not urban settlement pls. No single house own by any other clan outside abriba indigenous people. Rumor has it that their policy demands that indigenes of Abiriba must first build a house in Abiriba before building somewhere else. Their location in the middle of nowhere helps them maintain their town the way they want it. Good job.

This is wonderfully lush and green. These beautiful Igbo towns and villages always have plenty of vibrant trees, gardens and fields. Amazing!
