Hello everyone, this is my tribute that I've been working on for the past few days. I wanted to put my utmost effort for this creator whose had a lot of impacts on me over the past years. Unlike many people, I only really started watching Technoblade around the end of 2020. The me back then knew little to nothing about him, but I vaguely remember watching many of his videos without knowing they were by him. It wasn't until I started watching Dsmp that I got to actually know him as a content creator. Technoblade was an individual who really stood out to me, whether it was his personality, humour, or his occasional drops of wisdom. And before I realized it, I'd binged all of his videos and began showing up to most of his streams.
The first fanart I ever made since coming back to MCYT since many years ago was a painting of Techno and the first scene i ever animated in my first dsmp animatic 'Chaos' was also techno, while I've never ever spoken to this man, or interacted with him, I feel I owe a lot of my confidence and drive to him. I was honored last year to do the Animation for Derivakat's voices and I've since then made many great friends who share that same experience. I've bonded with so many people who genuinely enjoy his content and I've never ever felt unwelcomed or discouraged being a part of this community or making content for it.
When the news hit me a few days ago, I remember I sat there for hours, I couldn't concentrate on my work and everything just felt so surreal. It was a grief that I can't explain, its hard for many people who don't experience the same experience to understand how a simple viewer could cry for hours for a creator they watch. To me it was like losing someone I've looked up, someone I'm inspired by, someone whose tiny remarks here and there would bring me so much joy during a not so good night. I didn't think it would hit me that hard too but it did and till now, the sorrow I felt still lingers. I had worked up the courage to at least say one final goodbye with this video. I had come across a poem on channel named illneas, the poem, presumably by Mary Elizabeth Frye is one which explores the feelings of coping with loss. This poem and the way in which it was read really spoke to me, and felt so appropriate to me in this situation I had begun to visualize the poem itself into tiny fragments in my head.
This animation is the results of this, I pictured something beautiful, something nostalgic, something that will at least, in my definition and within the limitation of my current skill-set live up to the place in which Technoblade had influence me in my life. It is not perfect, but in my eyes, its something that I worked hard on and something that really expresses my gratitude and respect for the creator I look up to. I will continue to cherish these memories that I've made, whether the metaphysical thoughts and quotes that continue to pop up when prompted or the physical art that I created, for all there is to come.
Thank you Technoblade for everything that you've done for me without knowing. May you rest in peace, and in power.

It's almost been 6 months. It's scary how fast life moves on. This tribute is my favorite one and I can't help myself from coming back to watch this every once in a while. It's a gentle reminder that he's gone and that he'll also never be forgotten.

God, this video hit me so hard. A few years ago, I was really depressed and suicidal. I was writing suicide notes to all of my friends and family. I used this poem in the letter to my best friend. I'm better now, but it still hits really hard.

What a great choice of poem, really fits well.
I read the description and I relate a lot, the only difference is that I remember watching his videos way before the DSMP even be a thing, but I wasn't subscribed to him until around the Dream x Technoblade duel, then I started watching every new video he uploaded. Yesterday I cried again, it hurts from time to time, he was one of my favorite mcyt for a long time. This grief indeed is strange, I've never felt it like this.
All I can do is to guarantee his wish, for us to live a long and great life, while remembering the good memories he brought to us.

I honestly get this a lot. Like I've watched techno for years and enjoyed everything. He was just a great guy who didn't deserve to be taken.
Cancer freaking sucks, first a close family member, then my first ever dog and now one of my favourite ytbers. Just sucks but we gotta move on and remember him for him and the good times spamming kahoot in chat for instance XD. Gotta look positively and just gotta go forward.
Keep ur head high cause remember "technoblade never dies", still true even after his passing as he lives in our memories for a lifetime.

This poem was a favourite of my late grandfather's. I read it during his funeral. The fact you're using it here just hit me that much harder because that happened less than a year ago. Thank you DropsteR for the beautiful animation. The poem to my granddad meant something mystical and almost holy, but here it means what we all know. Technoblade never dies. Thank you DropsteR

When my best friend was helping comfort me about the news, she actually read me this exact poem and it helped. And I'm not surprised other people thought of him but I'm glad it has also brought others comfort.
I was never really directly inspired by Technoblade, I’m sad to say, but the thing that made me cry was the fact that he inspired so many people, inspired people to do so many things whether it was an inspiration to start a youtube channel, or one to make others laugh, he inspired so many people. I’d always hear at school or in public, someone mention his name and I found it amazing that he’d touched so many people. One even more amazing thing he’s done is even in his death he’s gathered everyone together, apart but together people made so many things, things dedicated to him, and to me that truly shows how amazing a person was. Though I may not have watched much of his content, I'm very glad to have just heard his name. Legends Never Die, Technoblade Never Dies. I knew of him as my brother watched and talked about him a lot, and yet, despite not having watched any of his videos that whole week of his passing my recommendation was FILLED with videos and tributes! it's unfortunate that i finally came around to appreciating him a little too late

Great legend. He is now up there with all the legends of our generation and watching over us "nerds" as he would call us. Maybe he didnt know us one by one in person, but we knew him. And whether that was just acting or not, everytime he made videos for us, we would have fun. It was something that helped us all just pass time or pass through difficult times of our lifes. In this case, Alex (Technoblade), never dies, because he is in our hearts and memories and thankfully his doings will be immortalized by the internet. I miss him everyday and im sure we all do. Stay safe everyone, the Blade is watching over us.
I wish there was a way to share this with Alex’s family, I’m sure they would be very touched to know you created this in their son’s/brother’s memory.

Even without being a tribute to Technoblade, this animation is legitimately beautiful. The view up at the stars had me mesmerized.
And the poem itself fits Technoblade so well. I loved how you portrayed him as both a majestic king of himself, while at the same time a simple man enjoying nature, accepting his death as not the end, but as the return, leaving us with comfort. Thank you for this. :')

Ok, but after rewatching his goodbye four times (because of course I would, who neefs a heart anyway), I think either he held onto hope till he wrote the message, waiting for him to get better, or he was actually doing the same thing for his family too. His mother mentioned he kept strategising on how to beat it even when he knew it was stage 4. Part of me wonders if he was that committed to never dying or if he just kept trying to appear strong even to those closest to him

This made me cry because it is so true and because Technoblade is still a legend, though not physically, I will never forget him.
I don't really have words for what i want to say. The last few days were a living hell to me. People at my school made fun of his death and that he was an awful person. They laughed when i cried and it was so hard not to cry. Thank you for this animation. Thank you that i don't feel alone. Thank you DropsteR, and thank you Technoblade. And now, chin up. I personally discovered technoblade because of the news of his death. It makes me very sad to have not taken the time to do research about him before, because i heard his name several times here and there.
When i saw his last video, i cried and got very sad for the days that followed, because i could feel how important he was and the grief of the community and his family. So i decided to discover who he was and watch his others videos, to understand the grief, the sadness, that his disaperance leaved behind him. For the few videos i watched, i can already tell that he was increadible.
In France, we got a sentence that we say when someone leave to soon: "the bests always leave first."
And damn right he was the best.
Goodbye Technoblade, may you rest in peace where you are.,

When the scene transitioned between "I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circle flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night." I was breathless with how moved by the beauty of what you have created. I realized I still had a few tears left in me, but instead of it being that crushing sadness of the loss of someone who was too good gone too soon it was something less intense. Something that's moved more towards just sad. I can't really explain it very well, but thank you for it. This poem was and is perfect.

this was spoken at my grandmother's funeral and it never fails to make me cry. remember the people you love in the good things, the positive impact they left behind and they'll always be with you in the small happy moments. I never really watched techno much but he seemed like a genuinely kind, funny and uplifting guy to watch, and i hope he's always remembered for that.

That was really beautiful, thank you for making this. I'm in a rough spot where I suppress my emotions even when alone, and it's really hard to get it out there. I'll watch this again, and hopefully, be able to cry.
Edit: I think I just understand that techno wouldn't want me to be down about it, and that I'll always have fond memories of him. I was worried that not still feeling that sadness meant I didn't truly miss him, but I'm not gonna let myself invalidate myself like that. I gotta feel my feelings, and right now, I'm happy. Thank you again, I really enjoyed the message of this video, and it helped me process my feelings.

I honestly couldn't relate more to what you said, it really did feel like losing a part of me as well. Techno was truly the best and he will keep on inspiring us and being part of our lives. Thank you for sharing this with us, it's honestly one of the greatest things I've ever watched. Thank you for being part of this amazing community and for spreading your love and dedication, as well as your joyful memories with all of us. ( You got me all teared up btw 😭)

For me, I've always kind of been in wait of a Techno video or stream. I lived my day to day life, most of the time not thinking about him. But that's because I didn't have to, I knew, eventually, a video was coming.
So now, for me it's hard to know that I am now living on, without him, and without another video from him ever again.
That pain is very real as I knew Technoblade. I may not have known the person he was in his day to day life, but we knew Technoblade. That pain is real.

Another masterpiece I've seen that is being save to my Rememberance playlist. The last words of, "I did not die." And the person crying and Cape being hung over them for comfort, and Techno slowly fading, was the cherry to an excellent animation, and an excellent starter to my tears once more.
