- SaharaTV traveled to meet the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, who is leading an uprising in Umuahia, his hometown as Biafran agitators come in droves to listen to him define the future of a new Biafran nation ready to secede from present day Nigeria. Our crew had an exclusive interview with Mr. Kanu, covered some of his rallies and first hand reports on the activities of IPOB, this documentary seeks to give a fresh insight into the Biafra struggle led by Kanu and young pro-Biafra agitators in South East Nigeria.

Respect to Biafra from the USA. When Biafra gets independence Nigerians will apply for visas in Biafra, not the other way around.
We are all fed up of this injustice in Nigeria. When the rich are constantly oppressing the poor. This is not a case for Biafra alone. Its everywhere in the country. However, I believe the call for secession is legitimate and at the same time its a misplaced priority. Why do I say this? The Eastern part of the country has never been denied their quota of allocation from federal purse. We can argue that the quota is not a true reflection of what each region deserves as substantial amount of this allocation is sent to develop the north but the fact still remains that Igbo leaders should be held accountable for most of the points being raised by Nnamdi Kanu and his followers.
We can also say that the federal government has neglected most of the infrastructural developments in the eastern part, something I believe its the duty of the lawmakers/Senators from this side to take up Federal government on this but none of these people will do anything to it, instead they will connive with the Northerners to short-changed their own people.
Having said this, I believe there is right for self-determination, its the right of every citizens but looking at this present world insightfully, you will know that Nigeria is better together than disintegrate into smaller nations that can't protect its self against vultures like France and US. The kind of politics that the western world is playing is too dirty for any small country to survive on its own. Its so sad we have stupid fellows as leaders because majority of us thinks politics or nation building is only meant for politicians hence we find ourselves in this quagmire.
Most of these secrets firms supporting Kanu against Federal government are doing it for the oil in some few eastern states. we all should be careful and think beyond the surface. French oil firm Elf/French Government were the brain behind the first Biafra war that led to death of many innocent civilians.
What is coming is far bigger than all of us and unless we all wake up and form a united front against our leaders irrespective of political party affiliation or tribe then we can all rise up and build a nation we can be proud because Nigeria is really a joke of a country.
We are too indisciplined in this side, we play too much and we allow important things that concerns our livelihood to be handled by unscrupulous men in our society.
