The old & the young respect each other, the rich & the poor have great respect for one another.Their politicians are humane and considerate towards the citizens.

Bro Chigboo, I'm older than you; but I respect your wisdom. But remember, if these elders have done what they are supposed to do, things might not get to this point. But why are the youths even involved; it's because they have waited, waited and waited for their elders to act but no, instead , they see instances where it's clear that many of these so called elders are compromised. Take Ohaneze for example, IGBOs were never known to kill themselves senselessly like this but the war disorganized our psychic. Yet, our elders did nothing to redirect the youths since after that war through civic education. Many of these youths have never known a time when Ala IGBO is not under military, police, customs or DSS occupation. Yet, their elders and political leaders never raise a finger to protest. The Senate is now debating tax reform. VAT and how it should be allocated is a major topic in this debate. You have already seen how Northern Senators led by Sen. Ali Ndume are up in arms against it because of how they believe it could affect their people. Have you heard from any IGBO politician ?
