  • This virtual presentation is hosted by Fr. Logue on the excavations beneath St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Commonly called the Scavi Tour, these excavations began during World War II in a quest to find the tomb of St. Peter in a Necropolis dating back to the Roman Empire. While in seminary, Fr. Logue served for almost two years as an official guide of the Vatican Necropolis and will present a virtual tour as well as the history of the discovery.
Tours can be reserved here: www.scavi.va/content/scavi/en....
Fr. Logue's advice for getting a tour:
    1. Request a tour 2-4 months before your visit to Rome.
    2. Be as open as possible with your availability (schedule this before scheduling other things if possible).
    3. Request a seminarian to ensure a spiritual focus on the tour.
    4. Make sure you fill out the form correctly and include all the necessary information.
