I'm starting to feel sorry for the top Chinese players. The new talent is coming up so fast the relative old timers don't get a chance to rest on their laurels.
That's what happens when you have 1.3 billion people and a state sponsored sport program. As soon as you are not performing at the top top, you are scheduled for replacement, cause the line of replacement killers is getting longer by the day.
As good as the Chinese are at this sport, I wonder why tennis isn't popular in China? They haven't produced a top 100 tennis player in perhaps decades. Its mind boggling. Judging by all the gold medals they win in each olympics, its clear that the Chinese can excel at almost anything they put their minds to.
Watch from 1:28 to 2:48, these two players Fan ZhenDong & Wang ChuQin will be Olympic gold & Silver medals winners in 2020! Mark my words now.

Too young/inexperienced and probably not necessarily good enough.
In the current state I'm pretty sure FZD and Ma Long will get sent, and I don't think that WCQ is the #3 player
How the hell does he generate so much speed off a backhand flip? I can't even generate that much speed with my backhand loop and he's doing that with his wrist.

Not sure about Lin... he was a very promising player 4-5 years ago. Now he attempts to come back. Wait and see.

Nice technique. However, most upcoming players tend to play better than their senior counterparts in their country. Elsewhere, they cannot perform as expected. Watch the swedish open match of Wang Chiqun vs Ueda Jin. You'll notice that all the speed only starts and inevitably end in China. Step out of China land, their levels tend to decrease.
