It is data I have personally developed over the last 10 years, observing my lessons and creating the statistics from hundreds of lessons I have taken on the course. When applied people really see the difference as it helps them maintain a calmer mind set throughout the round.
@@TheResourcefulCoach I Agree 100%. I’ve had achieved my lowest scores consecutively since watching your videos. The data certainly gives me a more realistic expectation when I can use it. And the “maintainer” really has changed things for me. I think you should document the data somehow. Ever considered writing a book ?
It depends on a number of things such as the loft on your clubs, shaft length etc. There is also the matter of carry vs overall distance. 150 with an 8 iron is low handicap territory, so probably a swing speed of 85 to 90 mph. 7 iron would require a clubhead speed in the range of 75 to 80.
I see golfers who take an easy swing with say an 8-iron and the ball goes 150 yds. I'd be lucky to go that far with a full swing with a 5-iron. My MAJOR problem is lack of consistancy with my swing.
I love how he takes a short, easy, 3/4 swing. Well within himself. We can learn from that!
a 15' ring around the green is a HUGE target to aim at!! only thought is solid contact.
15 yards and not short sided! Enjoying this series.
Another great video.....realistic is the key....breaking the hole down to averages, just how my mind works,no room for negative influence: stats
Use my 12 shots of golf data and the holes become much easier to break down
Thank you for helping us set up proper realistic expectations
I’m really impressed you knock an 8 iron 150 yds with almost a half swing 👌🙂
Thank you for watching!
Great stuff
Thanks for watching!
Excellent! David, as always you are putting the fun and confidence back into golf! What’s your ball position for that shot?
Ball position is in the centre of my stance
Hi David, great content and really helpful in practical terms. Where do you get the data from and can anyone access it ?

what do I need to do to get 150 yard using my 8 iron?

Initially work on tempo and rhythm to get consistent coordination with arms and body, once you have this the consistency can improve
Kind of looks close to early extending……
No, I’m sure it finished around 20-25 feet
