I agree with you. That sounded like a classic song from the 1960s. I was so impressed to hear she wrote it. If she can write songs like that, her career seems even more destined for stardom. I also thought she seemed more in control of her voice while singing and as a result, she sounded even better. A very impressive performance.

One reason I believe this young lady is going to be HUGE world wide has been the reaction here in America. I am 70 and LOVE her! And then there are young teens who think she is awesome ( and she is ). And the reaction from people of color --- wow! So many videos popping up. Both genders, all races. All ages. Can't wait for her album! Soul blues rock and roll. Oh yeah...

I was at Woodstock , Atlantic City rock festival & I was at Monterey rock and saw Janis Joplin., second time was at Atlantic City Rock Festival. Querky. Odd voice all over the place but such passion, energy and stage presence & lit that place up. Just like Courtney does. The buzz about Courtney is unreal. Good bad everyone talking about her. Once every 50-60 years you see what you do. Like a comet Courtney is. An event. You absolutely will not forget nor stop talking about here. No one in the history of AGT, and they have incredible acts, has lit up the internet like her. No one has more views. She is not of this era as Howie Mandel said during her audition. Courtney will become like the greats before her. R&R revival and she will be leading it.
She is in the line up for Woodstock 50 on august 17 and I'm sure she will kill it

She was signed by Syco/Avista shortly after last season. She is being professionally coached, she is now a model for Calvin Kliens, and they supply her wardrobe. The whole thing was a major production by her backers. Simon owns Syco. She will be doing her first album soon in Sweden. She is a real Professional rock star now as she
finishes a tour with the Struts. Grats Courtney and may God stay with you. Happy to see it I knew it would not take long for this to happen.

When she speaks, she sounds like a shy, timid, meek girl, but once the music starts, OMG, she instantly transforms into a moxie, swaggering dynamo that rules the stage with her moves, voice and overall stage presence. She is well on her way to filling stadiums with devoted fans. I believe that before she comes on stage, she's thinking to herself, "Wait till they get a load of me". Hence the obvious confidence she clearly displays once the music starts. She's amazing, and born to do what she does. BTW she and I share the same birthday, July 6. We were born 46 years apart but the same birthday nonetheless.

Deon, Thanks for the excellent reaction. Courtney, at fourteen, does to you what she does to everyone. She gives us goosebumps and makes us awestruck! She has done four live covers and three videos of her own work. On 9/29/23, she released "Monsters" which is quite different but still Courtney. SHE IS NOT DONE!!!

Deon, if you've never seen it I suggest you take a look at 12 year old Courney singing And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going. She sang it in 2017 on The Voice Kids UK. Just be sure the floor is clean as your jaw will be on it.

They are AGT winner Grace Vanerwaal, pianist Emily Bear who composed the jazz music on RUclips video entitled Emily Bear-Diversity Medley-47th Montreux Jazz Festival RUclips and Alma Deutscher who has written a violin concerto, a piano concerto and a 4 act opera entitled Cinderella.
