Great walkthrough! Love Wiley's fast and enthusiastic tours of these vessels. While not the boat for me right now I think that the next owner will love everything about it.

I like that his walk throughs are detailed, yet quick. No 40 minute videos here. Nice and concise.

I think this is my favorite boat. I would feel comfortable sailing this anywhere. I love the way they made the sink and couch face forward and everything looks well thought out for sailing. Sky lounge, good natural light and it looks very comfortable compared to what I grew up with. Maybe one day I can afford one.

I like that solar array structure it could double as a hand hold when tied to a high dock or pier over building it was a good idea

Just under $1M for a 42' mass produced multihull? Has everyone gone insane?

Its only worth what someone is willing to pay, and I bet she'll sell quite close to her asking price.

    • @davidrpriest

This is the price a well equipped 50 should sell for in a normal used market. You can buy a 50 for this price new if you are willing to wait. People are ordering these and flipping them to take advantage of the shortage.

@@catamarancentral Didn't mean to come across harsh. Just blows my mind how much demand in the states has pushed up the prices of these. I do love your content!

Yacht sales are insane! All the builders have full books. The Russians have been taken out of the game though and like 16 yachts, 14 that weren't completed, had to have work stopped and can't be worked on. There is a chance that these boats will be offered up for sale and people will get them at a discount because some things can't be changed, like the general arrangement unless the new owners want to pay for It, but if they can live with it, then they can get the boat cheaper. Also some yachts are being SEIZED. Not just arrested. This will make the ultra wealthy want to buy these boats that are fairly large and expensive if bought through a broker, but will sell cheap through a government auction. A lot of Russians that weren't sanctioned are going to cancel their boat builds probably or sell their yachts. Smaller boats owned by companies on the sanction list will probably also be sold. It is going to put a real damper on yachting in general. It might also flood the market with cheaper sailing boats. A lot of wealthy Russians love sailing yachts. If those boats go for cheap, then they can be bought cheap and it will maybe cause people to cancel builds, or stem the tide of insane rising prices. Who knows, but I think with rising inflation, the Ukraine war driving fuel prices up, and ongoing supply chain issues, we will see yachting start to dwindle some, but also, sailing yachts grow in popularity. You might also see that some of the seized yachts, not the arrested ones, the seized ones get sold at auction, the Russians might decide to wage war on the open seas and that will, have people thinking twice about going out. Maybe none of this happens and probably won't, but I do think the Russians being out of the game is going to effect yachting and the fuel prices, inflation and supply chain issues are other factors,

No offense taken. I agree its wild what boats are selling for. Buyers dictate the market, not sellers. With inflation through the roof boat pricing has gone up. Not because boats are more expensive but the dollar is weaker.

Good afternoon Wiley, what a stunning boat. Saw one in the flesh at Cannes last year and when compared to the old 40 it is so much closer to being a mini-45 than just a tweaked 40. Sadly don't have the cash to flash but if I did, as an owner, I would actually rather a 45 minus the sky lounge just so I could put an extreme amount of solar on the coachroof to be more off grid. I just don't quite get the need for most manufacturers to have the sky lounge given the multiple places to chill something in the 40-45ft range have already. Guess that's just me and manufacturers are responding to demand (or each other). Plus, being boringly practical, where do you stow all those darn cushions when underway/in bad weather? Anyway always a pleasure seeing your videos, keep well.

Peter, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Regarding the solar, lounge, and having adequate solar... With modern panels there is WAYYYYY more than enough room to have WAYYYYY more solar than a boat in this class could possibly ever need.

Not absolutely sure why, but this vid made laptop CPU run at 100%. I do use an ad-blocker I know ab-blocking for content creators not great, if people derive money from making vids, but it's typically not a problem. Just thought I would let you know as I really do enjoy your walkthroughs. Cheers.
