- The Mac Factory in Camden Market, London serves on mac 'n' cheese. Even though the restaurant makes just six types of mac 'n' cheese, it goes through 30 tons of cheddar a year! All flavors-ranging from chorizo and mushroom to pesto-are topped with parmesan and thyme crumble.

Its a shame stores like these will struggle during this Pandemic. The government really needs to put their hands deeper in their pockets and support small local businesses!!! We have so much variety, thats what makes London so unique.

Bechamel sauce is like just butter flour and milk and cook down with white wine
@@hap.8302 I understand, however some bechamel sauces (perhaps not the conventional ones) contain herbs, paricka, extra cheese, garlic, some vegetable might be steeped in it and taken out for flavour, this is what I meant.

It seems the RUclips algorithm thought it'd be funny to recommed this to me during the lockdown.
i went to this place last month to give it a try. i must say it taste really good, the cheese sauce is flavourful and piping hot cause its cooked fresh and right at the time of order so thats really good. only downside is its on the pricey side 7-8 pounds for a small cup its like a snack not enough to consider it a lunchtime thing but its london so its expected. If you love mac and cheese highly recommend this place.

Looks so good!! Honestly I never understand why americans have bright orange mac and cheese, it’s so much more appealing like this
bwkermadecs well cheddar originated in england, i found it a bit weird when I heard that you dye it orange. But I get what you mean with the colour thing, I think it’s the opposite for us, we tend to associate orange cheese with fake/plastic American stuff 😂
We have all types of Mac and cheese flavors especially since it was originated in America. You can get white cheddar or (orange) cheddar Mac and cheese if you want to. And yeah there is the powder kind as well. You can even get the vegan kind! All is available and not that hard to find.
As an American, I actually prefer white cheddar over the orange kind.

I believe the orange color comes from adding annatto powder to the cheese. Its not fake or anything.

I would gladly have the mambo italiano! Smoked pancetta, mushrooms and parmigiano and thyme crumble sounds delicious to me! I am Italian and I know that mac and cheese isn't Italian but I love these ideas and I just love even the mild creamy taste of simple mac and cheese.
I am a bizarro italian though. I prefer ben and jerry's to italian gelato, I looove spaghetti and meatballs and I have eaten creamy shrimp alfredo on my trip to New York and I devoured 2 plates of it. I also love my neapolitan pizza though and I will cuss out anyone who puts cream in carbonara pasta, also if you give me lasagne drowning in a lake of ketchup colored sweet tomato sauce I swear I will throw up in the plate. So I guess I am a mix. 🤣🤣🤣
