Some/many people will believe that a few of these shots were all practical and then claim that practical is better...
VFX vendors should bombard the internet with breakdowns of each and every shot they do! They don't get nearly enough credit from their own industry, let alone the public.

Big productions usually employ several/many VFX vendors, of which, Weta FX is but one. Seeing a shot from a movie here does not, therefore, mean that Weta FX did all the visual effects shots in it.
Also, if you limit the budget and time to do VFX, it will impact the result more than anything else. The people who worked on The Flash are not worse at their job than the people who worked on Avatar, for example.
