This honestly helped so much. Ken burns has always acted wonky for me. Thank you

I feel personally attacked by this title because I LOVE ken burns. 😭 BUT, I will be challenging myself to try this instead. Thank you for the tutorial! ☺️

Totally didn't mean to target you! Just wanted to give other editors different options! 😀

Great, quick, easy tutorial. Exactly what I needed after pulling my hair out trying to get the Ken Burns effect to do what I wanted (faster and more abrupt image resizing over a background video).

Very good tutorial. Well paced. I could actually follow it without having to stop and back track . . . And I find the lesson very useful

    Very helpful, thank you!
First thought that is gonna be more complicated and defeat the purpose of the quickly applied KenBurns, but this is as easy but better. So I totally agree with you!

I don’t know if been mentioned here but Ken Burns gives you key frame Easing whereas keyframes don’t, only the opacity.

I agree, Ken Burns is somewhat limited. Wish there would be Easy In/Out options so it would fit to some general purposes maybe.

how do you change the speed on a photo? for instance if I have a photo and would like to be 3 sec, but would like to control the speed of the effect without extending or shortening the clip.

Ken Burns can also be changed (start and end frame and speed of change... even slow and ramped) I am not seeing any difference using Key Framing, to be honest.

I agree that key framing is more versatile but it's also abrupt. FCP has to add ease in controls for that. Or am I missing them?

Do you know how to change the ratio of Ken Burns? It looks like the start and end crop remain in the same ratio.
