I read the manga so many times and watched the movie and I honestly feel that she should have ended with Hiromitsu and not her childhood best friend. It took him so long to figure out his feelings and he was just so emotionally unavailable when it came to her it felt draining. Hiromitsu truly loved her for her craziness and passion at her lowest and I just felt like her going back to Rita was to fulfill this idea of “what if i was really his heroine”. I might just be feeling extreme second lead syndrome but this is the ONE story where I truly feel the female lead made a mistake. Hiromitsu deserved better and she deserved better than someone who made her cry 24/7 because he was so closed off and stubborn.

To me the movie ended during the rain scene after Rita rejected her lmao. That would've been the perfect ending. Like I literally turned the movie off after that part cause I knew from a spoiler she ends with Rita and I was like "nope fuck that noise"
wow I just can't like even tho I didn't watch the movie but now that I know that she will not end up with Hiromitsu then I will not watch it I got annoyed by Rita even tho I didn't watch the movie but I saw some music videos about them like he was treating her coldly and Hiromitsu was there for her and the fact that Hatori and Hiromitsu didn't end up together really makes me sad...
Rita is stupid in manga and annoying in movie, tbh if you meet someone like him in real life, you better run because he is the biggest red flag 🚩 Hiromatsu is too perfect, he deserves someone who appreciate him
