Idea: In abandoned villages, there's Rust golems, kind of like iron golems but all orange-brown and also always hostile to you. They could drop copper ingots and would have significantly less health than normal golems. They wouldn't do as much damage to you and would move slower but would give you a poison effect to simulate getting a disease by getting scratched by rusty metal. Idk, its kinda weird but just thought I should share my idea. Edit: most of the comments on this are awesome so Imma address some. They would still drop iron instead of copper but I totally think that they should add rust to. Maybe it could be a bit worse then iron but would add a cool new armor appearance. And yes, they need new homes, so when you repair then, maybe shearing them with a pickaxe, they would be fully repaired and would follow and protect you.

It would be cool if the amethyst chimes behaved like a radar ping, every time they make a chime, the locations of enemies are revealed but they don’t update until the next chime

This is an idea I’ve been sitting on for awhile: Redstone lanterns; crafted using a redstone torch just like the other lanterns, but it would give off an eerie red glow and could be found in abandoned mine shafts to make them more ominous. Could have some normal redstone functionality as well

idea: adding mermaids? they should be located in the warm ocean near shipwrecks after that if you attack them you'll receive an effect of blindness for hurting them. they should be friendly and if you're also to them they should give you pearl crystals or like some gem or seaweed. most likely trading like piglins. but the thing is you need to give them shells in order to achieve that! 🙃

I like to imagine the "back to spawn teleportation item" to be crafted with an ender pearl and a bone, and would be called "homeward bone"
Idea: new villager. Like an all knowing librarian, you can pay him to show you where the stronghold is and other important landmarks.
But you’d need to pay a LOT. Cause finding strongholds just by giving one emerald would be waaayy too OP

Hear me out systemzee, have a feature in Minecraft where you have to rescue a captured villager in the pillager outpost. Imagine, a particular villager will give you a map, some items and weapons, to locate and rescue a villager from the pillager outpost. Imagine that, instead of having only raids in the game, there will be a mission where you are the one going to the outposts.
This really make raid and villager more Interesting

On the totem of teleportation, given where it comes from I think a better theme for it might be something like ender essence and a potion of waking. Comes from the same source, but since you respawn point is your bed the potion drinking animation is a nice balance. Waking of course referring to the fact you're returning to your bed in the overworld. Neither/end might have their own version of it for their respawn point, which could have the functionality of allowing you to actually instantly travel between worlds if you've set spawn there once.

Has Mojang seen this? I could see each of these ideas working in a current build. Like, you take the ideas and actually make them functional. There’s value in that.
The Amethyst Chime would be the perfect candidate for a "weather detector" that emits a different redstone signal depending on whether its clear, rainy, or thunderstorm (with clear weather being zero).
That quicksand has too be the most devious thing ever. I love it. Suggestion: "Frost" mob in frozen biome, The frozen blaze mob. Drops frost core , add too the enchanter table recipe with fire rods. Elder frost/blaze. All boss mobs area of effect prevents block breaking and placement. POI'S will all have boss mobs protecting them before you can claim your blocks.

idea: adding a new biome called a "Outer Plains" just the plains biome but with tree's, but not thick enough to be a forest. These plains also should also have hornets, a fearsome creature who stings you but only gives you slowness, but then again, can sting multiple times, just not every one second. I was also thinking of adding a new type of wood, doors, etc, with maple wood, and maple tree's, aswell as a new leaf type too. With the hornets, you can breed them using nectar, (Combining a water bottle with sugar) because they pollinate too, and they should also have an animation for that, but, on google, it says they do not pollinate much, so don't put much pollen on them once they stop pollinating, at least not as much as the bee's.

The idea of the chime alone was cool but I love the idea of the chime showing you the enemies ! Wind chimes are used to help you be aware of spirits in your house so I like the little Minecraft twist and instead it makes you aware of the mobs. Super cool idea would love to actually see this in game. Would make amethyst farms kinda useful instead of just a decorative block
Some ideas like quicksand are very great, hope mojang will add such stuff into the game

The trackable mobs are a really good idea, but it would be even greater if you could craft tracker maps out of these compasses.
I also think lodestone compasses should be craftable into maps where the lodestone is marked.
Solution to your lodestone issue: If you name a banner and you place it down, then right click that banner with a map in hand, it will put it onto your map like a waypoint :)
@@lusiferm1187 Good idea, but my intention was also to make lodestones and compasses more useful and since the recipe for a map contains a compass, having it with a lodestone compass would make sense.

I really like the idea of amethyst having magical properties, so I made another idea!
Amethyst Canteen
The Ancient Greeks would carve drinking vessels created out of amethyst, and had believed that it would prevent intoxication. So why not have Steve be able to do the same thing? The amethyst canteen will be able to store water, and give it a few other *mystical* properties. I suggest a kind of random spin wheel of sorts that would determine what effects Steve would be granted upon drinking from it. Such as the ability of the Amethyst Chime, but can't see mobs from as far away, or can give melee weapons the same effect as a Spectral Arrow.
I thought this up a little bit ago, but lemme know what you think!

Useful when dealing with zombie villagers. Also maybe it could be used to let you tame and ride a Phantom via a saddle?

The tracking compass is a very cool idea, because you can combine it with nametag or other kinds of disabling despawn of mob to make a base tracker using Villager or your Pet. And that is only one use of it - also, if you will able to track players like that you can use it to help friends or secretly use it on enemy and track their bases on servers

I have a good idea: if you make an iron golem by yourself, thwre needs to be an way to let it folow you like a pet so maby instead of "sit", something like "guard". Its a great bodyguard after all!
maybe feed it iron til iron hearts float up and it follows you around, protecting you, unless you make it sit, or make it roam (in which case it still will protect villagers and stuff)

Upgradable iron golems would be a great feature, actually. Like, maybe you could right click on one to access an inventory menu. You could upgrade it with netherite ingots to make it hit harder, redstone blocks to make it move faster, netherite block to make it tougher, etc. Then when it dies it leaves a broken down body you can loot to get the upgrades back, but the iron used to build the golem itself gets lost.
Maybe even give it like, a telescope to let it use a ranged laser beam attack.
The spawn teleport and the capture net are both things that can also be found in current mods if anyone is interested. The net in particular has a near identical things in Extra Utilties (golden lasso) and minefactory reloaded (safari net)
Strange idea: An arrow that bounces when touching a wall, getting faster each bounce. Or that duplicates each bounce, with duplicated arrows also able to bounce and duplicate. Or both at the same time. (Also, sorry if there are typing mistakes, i'm french.)

@@thatonecabridog if you use the lighting rods for arrows and not the bow, make it incompatible with Infinity and like the Trident only work during thunderstorms I believe it would be a cool and balanced addition.
The capture net is also a feature in FTB ((Feed the beast)) Infinity evolved minecraft, however they went a step further and not only made a gun to launch the net, but there are also soul vials which can even trap the wither inside with UNLIMITED use.
Quicksand is also a feature, however there are no mummies.

A quest giving villager would be cool. It would display different items and tell you what you need to do to get them, e.g., one diamond for killing 26 creepers. You would have to select the quests before you do what it says otherwise what you do doesn't count. You would also have to return to the quest giver to receive your rewards.

Actually, that buff cat is sorta accurate to real life cats. Before they eat their prey, cats play with it and I'm pretty sure tossing their prey around is one of the ways cats play with it.

Good thing cats aren't 4 times the size of the average human, have opposable thumbs, and had super strength. Cats are good hunters and very smart so if they were like the cats in this video, us humans would either be extinct or we would be _their_ pets.

it would be really awesome if Mojang added this kind of compass to the game, because we finally wouldn't have a hard time finding our pets ^-^
idea 1: make a sward using glass, that can deal bleding dmg after hiting any mob.
but we can only craft that sward using the glass that can only found in end city.
idea 2: add a new item that can get after killing ender dragon, and then we can craft tools with that new item like , armor and tools, and when we equip full set of armor it will give us night vision
how about a scorpion mob? it would give you poison and nausea if it stings you, and would be a new aggressive mob added to the dessert. (maybe neutral and tamable, but would sting even it's owner if it was attacked)
I can't believe it isn't in vanilla minecraft but a way to alter a compass so it points to your last death

idea: We should have camels that exclusive to desert biomes and the wandering traders in desert biomes should use camels instead of llamas and have on desert gear. Camels should be able to move quickly, carry chests and be able to wear carpet of unique designs.
BRO- this idea is coming to MC 1.20 and camels have unique carpet designs!!

The Conductor can turn a Heart of the Sea into a Haert of the Storm. With it and iron ingots you can craft a Stormmaker that strikes enemis with Lightnings in a Storm.

Maybe add a mimic, it mimics the appierience of a deeplslate block and can slide at you at a fairly fast speed(fast enough to sprint away from it) and can hop attack too. Last of all, when it dies, it summons 3 silverfish
With the Amethyst Chimes, I love the thought process! It is very similar to echolocation used by dolphins, bats, and other animals!
Idea: New illager, called the Assister, which gives Evokers buffs like fire resistance and projectile protection (even though it doesn't have armor) The Assister is weak, though

I have a idea! Here it is: using a special crystal you can tame hostile mobs, and they fight along side you! And when you do it, they get a happy face!
I’ve got some ideas… first, of course, grappling hooks for the big caves of 1.18. I just saw a vid with a similar idea, for which you’d need to walk around to “charge” it for more power. It could be shot like a bow and arrow and and maybe it could have a little inventory slot for a torch so that if you shoot it, it lights up the space around it.
Maybe armadillo for in the badlands biome. It could from shells when killed (😪) and with it you could make a reinforced boat to sail across lave it would be harder to break. The armadillo could also be a part of the archeology part, in that it randomly starts digging and when the block breaks, the block+a random item will drop (from a select few items). You’d find the armadillo in rather shallow holes in the ground, like a small cave, with a nest of a few of them. Just to bring a little life to that empty biome.
Make chains work for pulling
Beter birds/birds of prey like condors in the big 1.18 mountains, harpy eagles in the jungle (sloths as prey maybe🧐), vultures in the desserts, bald eagle’s in the plains biome, eagle owls in the forests etc. The flying mobs we have now are, well, kinda lame and something that would swoosh in and do some damage, or just swiftly fly over with you thinking “WHAT JUST WAS THAT”. They could also be befriended if you manage to obtain and hatch an egg and would follow you and collect mob drops and bring them to you, or keep the loot in a separate little inventory. Maybe a special glove made from leather to be able to hold them. The glove could be enchanted with “birds view, which gives you the ability to see what the bird sees for a short moment of time, like a scout (this would be sick for the new big caves). Seeing a giant condos on a nest on a steep mountain side would just make it so much cooler to explore in my opinion.
That’s it for now, will edit if I come up with something else…
Edit: new idea: redwood Forrest. They’re kinda similar to giant spruce woods but a new type of wood (redwood🙄) and other animals in them. Maybe lynxes or bobcats, cougars and moose’s. Or the eagle owl, like mentioned above. Just these tall trees, maybe even 3x3 that would grow slower when planted with a sapling and would require more bonemeal to make it grow. A fog could be there at any time for a nice… (idk what’s the word that I’m looking for). Maybe moss could even spawn naturally here. It would be a very, very rare biome, one of the rarest I would say, and as a structure there could be an abandoned pillager lookout or so, a big wooden platform high up in one of the trees with some loot and maybe even some new mobs. (This might just be my favorite idea….)
With the tracking compass feature, I think crafting a lodestone and a name tag together in a crafting table could create a tracker, that appears on any mobs neck when applied, and could be tracked when the player clicks it with a compass.
You should add in auto-smelt and vein mining enchantments that work for axes and pickaxes but can’t be combined. You can find them in mine cart chests in mineshafts.
Next: A scythe of Sculk with the power to summon the spirits of those who are defeated
In Minecraft they should add that sheep have horns that you can collect and place down!
If I may suggest one small improvement, perhaps an upgrade for the iron golem's growth could be an iron block rather than an ingot.
Shifting wand: Can turn any block to its counterpart (wood - stone | water - lava)

Adding "New" ore for The end called Purpurite ore, which can spawn underneath the end island near void. It is the rarest and hardest ore to be obtain in survival (even with Elytra! ) and requires a netherite pickaxe to mine.
The only uses I can think of is actually a second upgrade of diamond gear since its an endgame stuff, it should be more than an upgrade and maybe? When you throw it in the void, it will teleport back to the player..

Idea: You can use diamonds and iron to make jewelry, but it enables villagers and pigeons to respect you and give you better trading options
Ender cat: Teleports to you when creepers are nearby to scare them off. feed ender pearls to your cat to make it.
Simple customizable golems, more blocks on the left bigger left arm, more pumpkins bigger head etc
There should be ants🐜 in minecraft the size of spiders🕷 and there should be 3 ants to an anthill (like bees🐝) 1 queen and 2 regular ants. You should be able to tame the ants by feeding the hill sugar until its tamed and then killing the queen. The 2 ants left should follow you around and protect you, kind of like a pet wolf🐺 but weaker😁 Imagine doing that repeatedly and getting an army of ants, a weak defense but still pretty cool🐜🐜

I'd make them the size of a Bee, maybe smaller, but add more, imagine, each hill contains 12, and the Queen, you get the 12, which makes more sense, and to make them do your biding, you tie the Queen to a stick, and when holding the staff, you can click a mob/block for transport, or hit them with it and the army attacks
Make a villager that comes a werewolf when it hits midnight
I officially want a brisket. That would be so awesome to roll up with a couple super jacked cats. It would show you have something rare since they have to be stuck by lightning to exist but also no mobs or other players could touch you. The only downside is you would have no where to sleep.
