As much as I like lamb, I'd pay to eat that pork belly any day. They said it didn't have the visual appeal but to me it looked beautiful. The caramelization from the braising, the way the rice soaked up the sauce and when the egg broke onto the meat. Just beautiful.
She can at least se some shadows or movements or smth. But she won so good for her. Despite the dudes menu seemed to have been better expect for the lobster error.
Josh was eliminated and then made it for the final two, that's a huge accomplishment, so proud of both of them, congratulations Christine, anything possible even if you half blind/blind or see.
Christine deserved that so much! she literally nailed all the dishes and challenges no matter what they were, she's always been so consistent too! she literally has the ability to take boring/simple dishes like fried chicken n made it taste amazing and actually impressed the judges is just insane to me, also SHES BLIND PPL HOW?!
I understand needing to build up drama and suspense, but I disagree on them being even after the entree. Josh undercooked the lobster, while Christine didn’t have any flaws. They made up “adding more crab”, because they couldn’t find anything wrong with the dish. The salad was mainly vegetable based made into string noodles with the sauce. If it needed more crab, then it would be called a crab salad
It seems you don't understand the strength of that melt in your mouth pork belly. The taste is so intense that eat little bit of it with a mouthful of rice is the right ratio to fully enjoy it. Dishes like this are cooked to expect ppl to eat more rice with it, just like a delicious curry that you would want to have more rice with it.
Both are great cooks and have their unique styles. People forget about Josh already being eliminated but then given a second chance to come back to prove himself. Christine was never eliminated and didn’t need a second chance. The winner to me was obvious when judging their progress and even in the finale with their dishes
I have always loved Christine, but I loved Josh's dishes more. It looked more restaurant like. Also it looked there has been put more effort in it. I wished he would have won. But if I see the journey, it's definitely Christine. Also, RIP Josh. I hope you have found peace.
After I saw this, I thought Josh should have owned an ice cream shop because of that ice cream! It looked wonderful! It's unfortunate he passed but I hope he found peace.
I would love to sit down with Christine and her husband, and just share my heart. I would say this, I prayed for you on each segment, I cried when you cried, I laughed with joy when you were happy. What an achievement in your life, what a fine example of, I can do all things in Christ Jesus who gives me strength. Christine is more then a conqueror!
It’s just a shame that Josh had problems that got the best of him. He was definitely a baller in the kitchen and had this thing gone just slightly in another direction he would have won. Not trying to take anything away from Christine though. She’s amazing! And I wanna try her apple pie! Lol. R.I.P. Josh.
Ramsay eat the pork belly ( Thịt kho) with rice is a right way(0:59), the caramel of it actually a key of winning, put the caramel on top of the rice and eat all together, you will see an magic. Joe dont eat the pork belly with the rice (2:10)thats why he feel sweet, rice upgrade it into next level.
I don't like my lamb so red, it was scarying me a tad bid, but that ice cream of his had me drooling it was a rough and tough call, I personally dislike lime sorbet.
Josh should've won! He truly showed diversity, he wasn't scared to accept any challenge thrown at him. Josh stepped up and constantly stepped out of the box with his cooking skills! Honestly, Christine played it safe the entire time there. Commendable for being able to make to the end and win with her disability! But, even when the opportunity presented itself for her to step out of the box and show us something different she didn't! Anyone could've won playing to their strengths the whole time! My vote will always be for Josh! R.I.P Josh 💜
he didn't delivered with his lobster and his pie meanwhile Christine's flaws were minimal given their outputs, of course, Josh's lamb was way better than Christine's Pork Belly, even tho hers was incredibly good, but she ended playing the end-game with her planned course
like joe said, you can’t reward people for not executing what they set out to do. if josh had completely nailed all of his dishes i think he would’ve 100% won but he messed up on his app and dessert sadly so it makes sense christine just barely edged him out
@@dahjiat.8562 The other point that is important is that Josh's menu was very heavy, all three dishes would have been so heavy that by the end you might not even want that desert. Christine on the other hand designed a menu to work together as a whole. The salad at the start to get you interested and wanting more, then the decadent pork belly to fill you up followed by a nice light and refreshing desert to end the meal. Josh might have had better single dishes in a vacuum if they all worked 100%, but even then I think Christine's menu as a whole would still be at least on par, probably better.
Josh were to over-confident or just the editing made him look over-confident... either way Christine were the better "Home" cook! Masterchef is a battle between Home Cooks and to be the Master Chef...
Why is Joe even on the show-?? He's never stepped foot in a kitchen except to berate his employees, so how would he know proper techniques. I remember when he got on contestant Leslie's ass for a lack of seasoning during the prep, then had to eat his words when he tasted the dish. He gave his praises, but then told Leslie not to say a word. The guy is a total prick
The final competition is quite unfair to Josh as Vietnamese like Christine has been too familiar with building up a harmony menu. She know exactly when and where to press the flavor on or take it off. If this competition is only about bringing the main dish, Josh is more likely to win but yeah, Christine did have an upper hand on this competition
Too bad Josh let that defeat overrun his life. He let that loss consume him to the point that he took his own life and in the process of his selfishness destroyed all the lives that personally knew him. He was so full of talent that he pissed it down the drain in depression and eventually taking his life. What a shame!
as far as ik he did not do it bcs he didnt win the title.. he was proud of himself for making it to the finale, that was still a very big achievement. he had mental illnesses long before he joined masterchef, that's why
He had Schizophrenia, which is a very scary and often severe mental condition, which was totally out of his control. There was nothing selfish about it. He died as the result of a very rapid onset mental disorder that is one of the most complicated disorders to diagnose and treat. What happened to him was tragic.
As much as I like lamb, I'd pay to eat that pork belly any day. They said it didn't have the visual appeal but to me it looked beautiful. The caramelization from the braising, the way the rice soaked up the sauce and when the egg broke onto the meat. Just beautiful.
I agreed. My mouth waters when I saw her main course.
That pork belly is making me salivate
I'm just so sad that Christine couldn't see the smiles she got throughout, and couldn't see her fellow chefs. She's amazing.
She can at least se some shadows or movements or smth. But she won so good for her. Despite the dudes menu seemed to have been better expect for the lobster error.

if its more crab salad then it won't be as an entre but main course
Ramsey & company can be real douches
They called it CRAB SALAD tho😂
She deserves it! I freaken love her.
2 of the classiest contestants EVER
Christine's pork is absolutely amazing. She should put less rice with it.
@Gin Oe you are a dumbass and yes rice is a main stay in every Asian region fucktard

@@chloema8747 yes he had mental health issues and committed suicide.

That was a great job christen you are the master chief
Christine*

How did the ice cream not melt
I WAS WONDERING THAT TOO
Probably they used nitrogen to freeze them.
They use dry ice or liquid nitrogen
Chef Ramsey tells cristine "we're not in Vietnam, we're not home" but didn't you guys say we want to see a dish from their roots? 🤔 Im confused now 😕
And then he had to eat his words
Gorden lol is a joke😊
But then he is a British so are we really surprised by his words? 😂
These two both deserved the title but the sad result of Josh ending his life was so sad.
Rest in peace, Josh.
The No:7 sense wins this title . I am really appreciated with what she works hard in cooking.
I was rooting for Christain. Good Luck for your future🌹🌹🌹
I watched this hoping Christine would win. I happy she did.
I hope Josh is smiling down on Christine and all of her accomplishments from a better place

watched the entire season for christine but rip josh
Wow if I were the chef I would choose the two. They both did great 👍
Gordon so it's not Vietnam you want her to come chicken lol

Good job Cristine 👏👏👍👌 josh good job to you too cuz you are a winner too.
Wow! Josh is incredibly tall standing next to Christine. Wish they could’ve both won.
I'm curious, does the second place contestant get anything more than a hearty handshake and a pat on the back-?
He get nothing 😢
Christine's pork dish just like com tam in vietnam
but more better
Tên gọi món thịt đó là Thịt kho bạn nhé
When Cristine stands next to josh. Wow i wonder how tall is josh?
Josh....was he really from Mississippi? I've never heard anyone in the south say Peecan pie, we say Puhcahn.
