Hi Amy, I live in Germany and although I don't know English very well, I regularly love watching your videos. You speak very clearly and not as fast as others in their tutorials, so I can follow you well. I love your friendly and calm manner. Thank you for all the work you do, it is not a matter of course and I appreciate it. keep it up and stay true to you and your pleasant manner. Lot of Love from southern Germany. Thanks, You nailed it. My third day with PI trial licence and I’ve already used a day hitting my head on a wall. This video got me through that wall. Loved it. I can now print out the Heart Nebula and give the print to my wife.
Thank you, Amy! I've looked at a lot of tutorials online, and this is one of the best and simplest. I love your easy explanation style. Keep up the great work!
Hey Amy....looks like the scope is a winner from Altair. Looking forward to Part 2. Only question....why do colors seem kinda muted? Not very bright? Cause no filters?
Great Job Amy! I have a brand new QHY 247C camera coming next week and I will shoot the same target. I'll use your processing video as my benchmark for this. On your camera did you use any light pollution filter, like an L-enhance or ? Your fantastic
Awe thank you! No filters on this image. Just the straight camera. I was in a bortle 3/4 area. If I was at home then yes I would have tried the L-enhance or Tri-band filter. Best of luck!
I use both the Linear Fit and DBE to fix the background. They are the first processes I run after I Crop the image. Do them both on each channel while you have them seperated.

Perfect paced tutorial, thank you.
Thank you so much. I have an updated one I posted a couple weeks ago if you would like to follow another one. Clear Skies!

Glad it was helpful! Thank you for your comment!
Fantastic tutorial. It’s great to learn a new trick, the channel extraction and the linear fit. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video. I'm looking forward to watching the rest in the series.
Wonderful and welcome!
I am half way through my PI trial - this could not have come at a better time. Thanks
Timing is everything sometimes, lol Best of luck.
Great Video. Amy! Learned some great new stuff. I'm still learning PI and it is a beast. Looking forward to part 2.
Glad it was helpful! Part 2 is almost ready.

Probably lack of filters. I make it pop in part 2, but I also try to not get carried away with saturation.
Thank you. You are a legend!
Thank you
Ahh exactly what I need, thank you @amyastro!!
I know another video by Cleo.

I will have to give that a try. Thanks for the tip.
Great tutorial. I’m going to use the RGB and Linear fit method to neutralize. Clear skies 🌌
I was surprised at this method. For me there was less LP residue.
Made it through pt 1 and saved! Did we make enough numbers for the one year?
Great job!
Sory it must be Cuiv the lazy Geek.
Thanks
