Nice, MH Rise had a lot of problems, but the soundtrack definitely wasn't one of them. IMO it completely outclassed MHW's score by a landslide, barring a few exceptions like Rotten Vale or Bazelgeuse's theme.

@higguma Oh boy. Where to begin. Yes, he's very white. Also bald joke. You can even make the character look as fair or foul you like. Maybe make one yourself let us see how hideous or handsome it is.
I think the micro transactions are perfectly fine in this game. They don't add anything to the game, but they allow those of us who work an average job who don't have the time to farm for the teleport stones or wakestones to be able to get those faster so they can spend more time playing the game and less time playing exploration simulator.

Rift crystals are obtained from literally everything you do, you could zone out playing for an hour in the starting zone, check and see you have over 1-2k already Overall the store is still stupid but everything can be earned in game essentially instantly
Who cares. It’s a god damn single player game. Micro transactions are completely unnecessary. Especially when theyre going to release their pc port and it doesn’t work for half the people that paid 70 FUCKING DOLLARS FOR IT.

His opinion on the microtransactions (around 8:27:00) affair is not even an opinion he's basically saying "it's bad, i don't know why". You only see the store in the main menu and that's it. You are there for 3 seconds booting the game...
It is already dad casual game why do they need to speed up the process. If they don't have the time to play the game then don't play it. Personally I don't think you need to rest if the game feels too easy. I'm 19 hours in & still haven't rested, my online pawn hasn't updated and says level 2. Having a smaller hp bar does make things harder but even then you kind of just get used to it and mess around with mechanics until you figure out when there is an opening.
I know this is late, but the area with the ladder has a cave 1:33:00, that is blocked at this point in the game due to story reasons, it opens up after an encounter where you get to choose to go with the soldier escort or to venture on your own (the reason it is blocked is that it is actually a shortcut, and would bypass the encounter).
I love reading people being mad over literally nothing. You all are acting as if moving forwards costs 10 dolars but those who know how this game works know that those microtransactions literally mean nothing, more even they take away most of the gameplay because this game is about traveling and adventure that you cut yourself from with those stones. I can't shake the feeling that a society where you can't go 10 meters out of a major city without being attacked by goblins, huge trolls and ghosts working together to get your ass would face some difficulties in order to thrive. How about some cleaning patrols, like on the week ends or something ? Maybe not 1 oxcart with a bag of rice in it, but maybe 2 to 3 oxcarts with a bag of rice in it would make it.
that's because in the lore the monsters become more aggressive after the dragon was awake, so like is this chaotic due to that, the npcs in game always keep saying things are going bad to worse since the dragon was awoken.
It’s usually a lot more chill times, the dragon appearing stirs the pot a lot more and makes it waaay more dangerous thus causes a lot of problems for the player to solve

For anybody wanting to play this game, if you have a decent rig and are okay with having 30 fps in towns (most of your gameplay is outside towns/cities) then just buy it and play it. Don't do it if you are on a budget but if you have scrap to spare then just do it, I genuinely think this game is amazing and it deserves for more people to try it out. I've been so addicted these past few days it's been fucking nuts. I urge you to try this masterpiece out. On a side note; I understand asking people to spend $70 isn't reasonable on the internet but if you have that kind of money to spare, this game isn't a waste of it at all.
It is a waste to buy this game for 70 dollars whether you can afford it or not. First 10 hours are magical, but the next 30 it falls flat on its face with bad storytelling, barely any new monsters, bad cutscenes, etc. I'd advise buying the game off kinguin or wait for a big sale. It's worth TOPS 45 dollars/euros.
@@Zindril As pointed out by the director of the game, this was never about a great story at all but the adventure you choose to have in your playthrough, hence the 'passage of time' mechanic, which means every person will have a different experience with their game. There's nearly 0 hand holding in the game and it's all about your choices and exploration, I agree the story is pretty basic but I also think it might be that you had high expectations to begin with. The complaint is valid and understandable but my point is; the game has so much more to offer than just a story, that it's very silly to reduce it to only that and dismiss everything else in the game. However, enemy variety is lacking, that I do agree. To be fair, these micro transactions are similar to the ones in Monster Hunter World and Devil May Cry 5. They still suck, but they’re not unusual for Capcom and they’re mostly unnecessary. However, paying to re-edit your character is made worse by the fact you only have ONE character slot and that it’s made very difficult to start a new game again. Capcom over estimated themselves with Dragon’s Dogma unfortunately. Edit: actually, you can re edit your character with in game currency by visiting a certain place in game. So, I guess you can completely ignore the dlc after all. Maybe the reaction wouldn’t have been so negative if the performance wasn’t so poor at launch. And the obstacles to start a new character easily.

Yeah, people should really wait 2 years or so. There will probably be an edition with infinite versions of the MTX already included like the first game
I mean… if you buy the mtx that’s on you for being stupid lol, it’s identical to the first game where you unlock everything with a bit of gameplay. Like most mtx stuff from Capcom. Remember when Red Orbs kept you from enjoying DMCV? Or you gave up on Resident Evil 4 because you could upgrade your gun by buying tickets? Or monster hunter became unplayable when they added new emotes? None of those things make a difference if you get them or not. Just ignore them. It’s Capcom, they’ve always done this and it’s never been bad. I am 1000% fine with Capcom doing this. You want an actual shitty example look at Total War: Warhammer games. Start with like 4 factions available out of like 30 and each new one costs $10-20 depending. They’re all already in game and enemies can use them, but if you want to use them you need to pay. THAT is a shitty practice. Or if Capcom releases a street fighter and you only get half the roster and need to pay for the rest, that would be bad. Imo if it GENUINELY doesn’t affect gameplay or wall you from certain things already in game then mtx are fine. Every major Capcom game in like the last 15 years had stuff like this, even Dragons Dogma 1 and it didn’t make a lick of difference. I think it’s stupid but… probably fulfilling a shareholder requirement and doing so in the least intrusive way possible. They aren’t locking like races or classes behind a paywall, purely optional stuff you unlock anyway.
@@bigpuppyshoes5033take it up with Capcom then. They've literally been doing this stuff for all their games for well over a decade. Nobody had a problem with it in DMC 4/5 and resident evil. This game specifically is basically being targeted by a smear campaign and everyone is just eating it up because they haven't had anything to bitch about for a week.
@@wr5488 they designed the game in a way that you have to go new game+ to even get a proper amount of upgrades in yojr first plathrough in DMC 5. This is a statement from my perspectuve as a casual DMC player and compared with a DMC fanatic (a friend of mine) who completed the game 5 times. So yes the MTX is influencing the gameplay an design. Even over hLf of the reviews of DMC still mention that it takes way longer to unlock simple moves. Now lets focus on DD1. All the content was included (with a bunch of rift crystals) for the PC port. The infinite ferrystone was locked behind pre-purchase before it was included in the PC port. This meant infinite travel for pre purchase players. This is a change in gameplay. A huge one. Undeniable. Now with DD2 rift crystals the hardest to get currency can be bought en masse. This is also a huge game changer. And that we are able to earn them doesn't make a difference as the game will be designed around the MTX amount. And the MTX amount of crystals you can buy are ridicilously high, which means the gameplay will be influenced by it. Meanwhile you get embarassingly low amounts of them. Also the deluxe edition of the game literally gives you rift crystals too. And 1500 is also a ridicilously high amount. Meaning that there is a gameplay mechanic requiring these amounts. But again, you collect them slowly and won't even probably reach that amount in a single playthrough as a casual player. This was massive problem in the first game too so there is no denial to this. The community alread has spoken. Also look at the reviews of the game. It's below 40% positive rating. I don't think that what you believe is anything worth in capcoms eyes. They deman 70 bucks, lie to the customers (the beta test being stable, DRM free and not including MTX, which got reviewed and then the release version had all three issues at once) and still get away with it. I agree that MTX only is not as bad and people would still recommend tbe game but in combination with all that's curretly going on? Well, no need to discuss one issue seperately if they won't even fix the others for the next 2 years.

@@Grieva-SeeD- The issue is not one save file, it's that you cant start a new game replacing it
@@Grieva-SeeD-one save is fine but I want to delete that save and have a different one. Still making it one. 1-1 is 0 0+1 is 1
@@sparton4747 Fortunately, a workaround does exist of turning off cloud saves and then deleting the local save. Not ideal, nor does it excuse them, but if you need immediate solution, there you go.
But this is the thing, character editing is free in the game, but internet is the kingdom of ignorance and most people don't search if something is real before echoing bs.
About the one save file, unfortunately Capcom didn't learn. The first game has the same frikin limitation.
Shout out to whoever it was in the comments on the stream when Asmon said “and now Im in jail. How did this happen?” - guy says “TOO BALD”
>Is a complete stranger in a restricted area where civilians and non-guards aren't supposed to be, and has his sword unsheathed
>Guards get aggressive because they don't know who he is, and he happens to be an active threat
"What? Why do they want to kill me? I don't even wanna do this, they're making me"
Bruh are you actually serious lol, mans is lucky that getting arrested doesn't have any serious in-game consequences at all
I don't get why people have issues with microtransactions in single-player games. It's optional. MTs in multi-player games can be PtW and that's junk. But in solo play?? Who cares!?! You do you! Make it easier, make it harder, fast travel, or don't! I am cheap and don't buy stuff. Hasn't made me enjoy a game any less. I may have to grind a bit more. But if the MTs weren't there, I'd be doing the same thing anyways!!
Don't explain yourself to these people. Keep enjoying DD !
If you have mtx you scale the progression and systems accordingly. No mtx in single player games. Stop normalizing it.
also everything can be bought with in game currency... no idea why they are crying.
Doesn’t it cost $2 to even make another character tho I mean that’s pretty low
@@realkirillkokorev big game dev over here 😮💨
Hey Asmond, been loving your content since I found this channel a year ago!
To people whining about MTX, you can easily ignore them.
Just remove the game from your wishlist and into your trashlist, then go play something else.
I did this and have 0 issues
Such a great game for lets plays no two players are going to have the exact same experience playing this game
To all the whinners crying about mtx, no one makes you buy these, no one obligate you, just play the game and farm like in any rpg. stop crying karens. its ok. You can enjoy the game (when they will fix the perfs) without spending money.
Awful take. The fact that those transactions exist mean they have made the game purposefully worse, purposefully more inconvenient for you to play. Disgusting practice after asking for 70 dollars, but go ahead, lick the boot nice clean x
@@VelvetPrinceThey didn't tho, is the same as the first one, is more like they were slapped on top of the finished product
@@VelvetPrince yes its bad and a disgusting pb, never said the contrary BUT you just can 100% enjoy the game without spending much money you spent at first. Thats just my argument.
@@VelvetPrince "lick the boot nice clean x" ok buddy, appreciate that toxicity ;)
8hours? Jesus!
I think it was 13 hours.
Yea I know he's cutting us short
All these people causing havoc about MTX but monster hunter has the exact same thing. So does devil may cry. Nobody said anything about those games... Just a bunch of bored drama queens bruh. You can literally do everything for free in game.
All you guys hating cause of the microtransactions and calling it rubbish when the game itself is actually amazing these are all stuff you can find later on in the game to customise your character anyways , I agree it shouldn't be in the game but I'm not gonna give it a 1 star for that reason.
I just got this game and like, it's 65-70% CPU / 65% Ram / 70% GPU and this is while in that "main town" my frames hit like 20-40 there. Big oof.
Yeah, people should really wait 2 years or so. There will probably be an edition with infinite versions of the MTX already included like the first game
The game already has the MTX items in it already. The MTX is just a shortcut for lazy or dumb gamers
@@caliscearleon9540imagine defending MTX in a 70$ game
Monster hunter world has a paid character edit voucher which is the ONLY way to change appearance, but suddenly it's just now a problem with dd2 because everyone is lying about not being able to get ALL of the mtx in game for free(except for maybe the port crystal, but you're already able to get like 10 of em in game, 1 extra really isn't going to make a difference).
