Great video. Too bad it was cancelled halfway through. I wish I could have seen more obstacles. My son did the same race yesterday. I am so proud of him for finishing. It was his first race ever!!! Actually, anyone that does it has my respect. Go Johnny!!!
Love that you're showing the terrain I've been doing Spartan races for 8+ years and no one shows this. Bc people only show obstacles, people overtrain for the obstacles and undertrain for the terrain. The terrain takes people out. It doesn't matter if you can do monkey bars if you can't get to them
I was at this race. We got pulled after the sandbag and told to go down but luckily by time we got down, rain stopped storm had passed and we were able to finish all obstacles except dunk wall
Around 3:45pm on Saturday there was a thunderstorm that lasted like 20 minutes. They had us clear the course, couldn’t do obstacles and by the time we got down to start line they re-opened everything...
@Jacko-Attacko from the cold and rain at the mountain creek race in May to the heat and humidity of this race what a change 🤣 i swam the whole water corssing just to cool down instead of walking through it lol. So what did spartan do for you guys? Did you get an option to start the course again once it reopened? Did you guys still show up as finishers on the leader board or is it like you were never there?
@overthebars123 Once we got back down we pretty much followed the crowd to the finish line, cut off our time trackers and grabbed our free stuff. There were a bunch of announcements but we couldn't hear what was going on. By the time the race re opened, it was like 4:30 so even if we wanted to finish, we'd have to literally go all the way back up to the top to resume. Mind you, we still had 25 obstacles and 3 miles left so we'd be out until 9pm lol I didn't see any shuttles transporting people back up or anything and I know they shut down the ski lift too. I contacted spartan asking for a voucher for a free race or something because we literally only got to do 5 obstacles. No word back yet but I'm hoping spartan does the right thing and hooks us up with something.
Great video bro

We were at the very top when hey canceled so luckily we were able to stay on path and finish like normal
I was bummed, we did half the course (3 miles) and yet only 5 obstacles...
My dad was on the very steep rocky part when he fell and hurt his ankle, he ended up being ok but didn't avenge the DNF until october
