Retirement (redundant?) isn't so bad Mike/Trish. My hubby and I enjoyed 14 years before he passed away in 2020. We traveled, went camping and boating and just enjoyed our time together, which we never regretted. You both seem healthy and happy and I wish you both many, many more years to enjoy your life and retirement. Folks in the US are hesitate to switch over to electric cars because they can only go so many miles w/o charging and we don't have charging stations (hopefully yet) to accommodate them.
Hi Sandy, sorry to hear that about your hubby. It's true what they say, life is too short and you should make the most of it, so we have now come to realise that early retirement and redundancy was actually the best thing that could have happened. Folks here are the same, the infrastructure to support electric cars and RV's is not nearly enough for everyone to be replacing their vehicles, and the cost of electric cars is sky high.
We are so excited that we have bought our very own Toyota Proace Leruna which we will be collecting at the end of August and watching your videos about why you chose yours is very much why we have chosen ours. It’s great to see how you use the van, the awning, the way you cook and places you visit. Thank you so much for sharing because we can’t wait to start our own adventures and it’s brilliant to find someone else with a van like ours! Looking forward to seeing more adventures in Maggie.

To fill water tank we just use a couple of collapsible bottles and a funnel - not very efficient I know, but we actually don't use all that much water as we tend to use campsites mostly. For grey water its just a case of putting the basin under the van at the drainage point if on a campsite. Hope you are still up for campervanning!
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot we use an oil drain container for grey water, it only holds 10 litres but that's heavy enough when you come to empty it and it fits nicely under the van. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S18BI9A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@user-xu9di2pn2r that looks like a really good solution we didn't think of that and Trish is already looking at them on amazon many thanks!
Who knows the cost of that van? Is it custom made? Where did you buy it?
hi, can you advise me the measurements of the loading space when the rear seats are pushed forward just behind the driver's seat . I'm mostly interested in the width and length on the remaining loading area.
Thanks for your feedback
Sure, but will need to be early next week if thats OK.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot ok there is no rush.
@@daniellenaerts5750 see below, hope that helps.
Internal boot space with seats pushed fully forward:
L 140cm
H 120cm
W 100cm
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot Thanks for this info. My tricke mobility bike has a L of 150 cm ... So I need to consider the Longer version. ( i don't want to take out the rear seating)
Size wise how do you think these compare with a transporter?
I would say they are pretty comparable, the Toyota is 4.96m long and the short wheel base T6 must be about the same
What do you think of the Toyota proace
Like it, I talk more about it in the later vlog called Watch This Before you buy a VW
Hi do you have any issues ,with height restricted car parks?,that’s if you use those care parks.thanks
We've not had any problems getting under 2.1m barriers.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot thanks👍
Do you lose original Toyota warranty with such comversion? Thank you
No, we retained the full 5 year warranty.

Stole that from the movie Labarynth 🤣
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot who me? nah im just a worm.
Hello you two (three). Are you all okay? I’ve missed seeing your videos and am concerned. Please let me know you’re okay. Dated 03/05/2022. 🥺
Hi, we are all fine and well thanks, just taking some time off because we will be moving home and there is so much to do, but hope to be back on RUclips in June x.
What is your new van like on diesel
About 40 mpg
Why is it that most camper vans are not available in america? And how much dollars this van costs?
Don't know why not available in USA, it would be around $35k
I ask you as someone who's going to buy for the last 20 years of his life and wants no hassle - this or the Cali, Marco Polo, Nugget?
No hassle with any if these, it comes down to personal preference and budget👍
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot so if I gave you £50k tomorrow ( possibly more if its right ) for a keeper what would you buy? Not interested in resale.
Whats the difference between the hiace and the proace?
Hiace was discontinued in 2016 and replaced by Proace.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot why does a 2021 hiace exist then ?
@@Floof_Factorymaybe its in another country but can't see it on toyota uk website.

Is it 4x4?
No, front wheel drive
This is for short people
It helps.
Too bad ,can’t get it in U.S.
We don't know why they don't sell these in the US.
I had one one and they give me hassle
We have been ok so far, fingers crossed
is it solar powered?
Yes but just a small 100w panel on the roof, still, enough to top up the leisure battery.
David Elliott has share the link to this video on the "Wellhouse Leisure"-Facebookpage and that's why I watched it.
Thanks for making and sharing! I would love see more videos. Suggestion: video of the bits and pieces that are inside when you travel + things you want to buy. And maybe a video what you like/would change after a few trips made.
