Actually PES had and still has the better graphics than FIFA, but since 2012 the gameplay of FIFA is a way better,
i don't think so, you can take a look at PES 14 and FIFA 14 player details, FIFA 14 is almost like real, PES 14 player detail nothing special...

Pes graphics is 2 years ahead than fifa on graphics, on fifa 20 much players are unrecognizable

Great Video! Brings back lots of memories. Winning Eleven 6 was a personal favorite, that was the first Winning Eleven / Pro Evo game. Before I just played the ISS series on N64. I really hope Konami can get back to its heyday. Bring back Seabass!

thanks for the trip down the memory lane :) i've been playing it and buying it since 1999 the old ISS ....in my opinion - the best game is allways the new one. Especially now when i saw this "retro" vid. The old ones are great sentiment, but honestly....how did we play that old "arcade" like game back in the day i'lll never know :] Todays games resemble reality pretty well i'd say...

I think PES was better between 2003 and 2010 years but i hated seeing players name wrong especially seeing Fenerbahce as Constantinople... Because of licence shit...

I mean the game was made in Japan, so it's hard to expect them to know, but still.
ISS 2 was great i used to play it all day...Now I play PES 6 and sometimes PES 2013.Hope that 2015 will be good.

The best was Winning Eleven 8. This game is absolutely fantastic and perfect. The gameplay is hard and far from this silly mechanism that PES has today.

Pro Evo Soccer 4 was when Pro Evo was at their best the Graphics were brilliant those Years and the Game play too.
FiFas are the best football from 94 to 2001 2002 maybe after that pro evolution rule in that years until 2008/2009 maybe after that fifa became the best again the versions 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 is clearly better then pro evolution.

Excellent compilation! Could only be more complete if you included the Japanese releases Konami issued in between versions (were not launched outside Japan I think) such as Winning Eleven 5 Final Evolution and 7 Liveware Evolution, and so on... Those days game developers couldn't patch their games, so they corrected some issues on those releases. During that period, the "Final Evolution/Liveware Evolution" games were usually the best versions!
Still, back in those days, Konami had to release a game that was good enough right from the start - not this mess we see nowadays when they rush a half-arsed game onto the market and patch the hell of it for the next 9 months.
Anyways, thanks for uploading this! Brought back some nice memories.

Depois que lançaram o PS3 nunca mais joguei o PES, pois o FIFA engoliu o PES... joguei do WE até o PES 11. depois comprei o PS3 e passei o jogar FIFA .

I think pes 13 is the best of all old generations of gaming console or pc or whatever, im still playing it... Now, pes 15 in new generation like ps4 or xone is a piece of art... I like very much... Konami learn and hear the fans after the disgusting pes 14, and they make again, a game enjoyable to play. Thanks for all this years of fun Konami!

If someone published the first release nowadays, he could be sell thousands of it, this graphics style is a vogue now for a lot of indie developers on steam.
ISS series on N64 are the BEST. WHY? 1: Always play with keeper on LEVEL 5; work for your goals! 2: Create own player, you can't copy memory card so UNIQUE TEAMS! 3: Formation and A.I. programmed to set how YOU want and do what YOU want. (not like modern PES & FIFA) You could place attackers at the corner flag if you wanted. You could place defenders next to the keeper and they would STAY.
4: Skill points for created players are awarded RANDOMLY. So if you had the time.... (it was exciting to build your army, I felt like Saruman lol)
5: CLICK-CLACK! All you had to do when visiting friends is bring your memory card and your ready. Team, formation, tactics...click-clack. (a bit more awkward on modern "hi-tech" consoles like PS3 &4, Xbox 360 & ONE) The memory cards of the N64 and PS2 were PERFECT.
5: I'll say it again, if you did not play this with the keeper on level 5....you did not know this game. And overal...the level of control over the team and A.I. made this feel very realistic. We had a lot of home tournaments. (put some money in the jar on the TV)
I only started liking PES from 2007 & 2008. But after that, Konami ruined PES again to earn money like EA. So ISS 98 and PES 2008 for me I guess. And I regret not having played ISS 2000 as much as I should.
Both Evolution soccer titles 1 & 2 were way ahead of their time 💯

Ahh the golden era of Pes 3,4,5. Then the slump beginning with 2008 through 2010, and lastly a new hope starting at 2011 but really hitting its stride with 2012 edition. Not played 2014 but it looks ace and I think 2015 will put Pes back on top!
