Hi! I would like to say, that you have come very far in your studies of English. I am not Bob, but I can help you. Homograph Homo = 2 or more things, which are the same or very similar. Graph = Words (in this example) Homograph = 2 or more words, that look the same. Homophone (you said Homoform) Homo = 2 or more things, which are the same or very similar. Phone = sounds. Homophone = 2 or more words, that share the same sound. In English, the word for a "fresh sea fish" is not called a "base", but is called a "bass", with 2 s's You had forgotten to make the word "novel", plural. "I read a lot of novels", you make it plural because the word "a lot" means more than one.
Hi Gaurav. I think "shape" and "shadow" are neither homographs nor homophones, according to your definition. Feel free to correct me, if necessary. Greetings.
Hi Bob. I hope you and your family are doing well. When I watch one of your videos I always learn something. Other channels often explain more sophisticated grammar or advanced idioms, which is interesting too. But I absolutely need and realise we students need basic vocabulary and everyday idioms. I was longing for it. You're doing great stuff. Keep in the good work. Greetings from Spain.
That's awesome. I'm glad that people recognize that even though it seems like a simple vocabulary lesson there is a lot more that can be learned if you watch the whole thing! 😎🎂🛌

What is important in pairs like _averse/adverse_ or _dessert/desert_ is the correct stress (accent). It often helps memorize the meaning. So the advice that I could give to others would be not to focus on spelling only. As far as _sensitive_ and _sensible_ go, they have at least two more counterparts: sensical and sensuous. As if life weren't complicated enough :)

Yes and I'm not sure I explained it well. Here are a few example sentences. My brother and I are very different. The difference is that he is taller and better-looking. Hopefully those two example sentences help you more! 😎🎂🛌
My mother tongue is Mandarin. I taught myself a good trick for memorizing and distinguishing "desert" vs "dessert". Water in Chinese is called "Shui", so I take the capital "S" apply to "desert" vs "dessert", because desert is dry and should have less water(shui). Therefore which ever has less "S" means desert. lol
Just think of it this way. When the weather is bad we say it is adverse weather. Weather that is unfavorable. Weather that is not nice. When we are averse to something it means we don't want to do it or we don't like it. I am averse to people smoking in my car. I don't want them to smoke in my car! I am averse to it! 😎🎂🛌
Just go to the other channel with the short lessons, there is always a piece of the farm at the end and he's often talking about the recent flowers. By the way, you risk to pick up some English there!
Yes Roland is correct. If you search RUclips for "Bob's short English Lessons" you will find my other channel. At the end of each lesson for the last minute I usually walk with the camera and you can see a lot more of the farm behind me! In addition if you search RUclips for "Bob the Canadian Farm" you will find a couple other videos from past years about the farm.😎🎂🛌
