Hey, thank you. This is difficult to answer. I didn't play much on a Lakewood but I remember them being great guitars. When I bought my Taylor years ago I went to a guitar shop with a friend and after playing some different brands and models I had 3 or 4 in the "last round". I tried these last ones literally blindfolded and ended with my Taylor.
What model Taylor is this? I think the sound is really nice, both bright and warm, and would cut through a mix well with a full band playing as well as acoustically done - this recording sounds generally very good also, and shows off the quality of the vocals also.
Hi, I don't "believe" in strumming patterns. Concentrate on my right hand. After learning the chords your right (strumming) hand transports the feeling of the song. I can't write this down.

Sarina, I agree with Patrick. It's hard to nail down a strumming pattern as it totally depends on your feel of the song. Learn a few strumming patterns and adopt them into the song. However, for this song played by Patrick, I went with D - bass - D - D - U - U - D - U - D - U - D - U (sometimes I go with other strumming patterns) but this also varies over the song as at times, it's all down strums to emphasize that chord. More importantly, consider the beats per measure. That helps to set the feel of the song.
