  • At a farm just north of the city, trainers are working to preserve an art form - dressage - on display at the Tokyo Olympics. Arts correspondent Angel Idowu takes us to Tempel Farms to see the Lipizzan stallions they’re teaching to dance.

No horse is meant to "dance"it is only what we want them to perform and we want them to do dressage.I prefer to see a horse do what he wants to do

I bet there’s a universe out there where horses train humans.
What if they gave us the tastiest, most nutritious food?
      Free healthcare from amazing doctors…
What if the horses passed laws so us humans would have at least 1500 sq-ft of the domicile of our choosing?
We’d only train a couple hours per day.
The rest we could move about the world, living our lives as we see fit.
We could have families, take road trips, hop a flight to Monaco, all because Horse Capitalism revolved around Human Dressage!
If trainers run afoul of regulations and laws, the Horse Feds step in…
Oh, and free gelato. The horses give us free gelato.
      Sounds good to me.

@@LanceEJones I still think humans abuse horses far too much sometimes not all the time there are true horse lovers out there.I do not like many humans and prefer animals a million times.Humans have treated me digusting.I will always argue my point that horses are NOT meant to dance for our pleasure. We have a lot to thank the horse for and they dont deserve our abuse

All the movement in dressage are what you'd find a horse doing in nature, on their own, @@susanmarston5475. A dressage rider would say that "horses and their riders have a deep connection and work in harmony together." Does that change your opinion?
