Fun background detail during Uzi's presentation at the end. On the slide of "The Hero's Journey", on the bottom it says "Forgot all this immediately. Focus on undead robot girl reveal and work backwards from there."😂 I might be reaching, but it sounds like this entire story may have originated from a concept sketch of Cyn in her "Tessa Suit" that they decided needed a story attached to it.😂
The adult Tessa was never Tessa, it was Cyn all along, wearing Tessa’s corpse as a skinsuit. Creepy as hell. If you want to watch a good lore video, Tyromaniacs has a video of the lore up through episode 7 that clears things up pretty well (nobody has a complete lore video uploaded yet that includes episode 8) There’s a lot of animated shows on RUclips that you could check out as well, like Lackadaisy, Amazing Digital Circus, Meta Runner, ect. Indie animation on RUclips is a massive rabbit hole with lots of talented artists, so I highly recommend giving one or more of them a shot. Hope this helps, I’m glad you enjoyed Murder Drones! :)
@@OnMyMindEntertainment It's usually something you notice only in hindsight. Like how "Tessa" survived having her spacesuit punctured in a planet that is not habitable, and how the Sentinels didn't recognize her as human. Also how she disappears right before the Solver appears to kill Doll on episode 7, after telling Doll that the Solver doesn't need her..
Did you notice how each episode is based off of either a horror or sci-fi movie? Ep1 = “The Terminator” Ep2 = “The Thing” and “Alien” Ep3 = “Carrie” Ep4 = “Friday The 13th” and “30 Days Of Night” Ep5 = “House On Haunted Hill” and/or “The Haunting” Ep6 = “Jurassic Park” and “The Hill Have Eyes” Ep7 = “The Exorcist” and “The Descent” Ep8 = “The Matrix Revolutions” and “Armageddon”
Episode 8 for me personally is the most action-packed compared to the other episodes. It makes sense that they would put the least lore-heavy episode to the last. Some people found it rushed considering that it is only around 20 minutes long (which is relatively short compared to the other episodes). But I personally find that they made the best use of that time frame to put out the best of their animation talent on display. It's awesome that you get to finish the ENTIRE MD series in under a month. That's the fastest pacing of MD reactions I have seen compared to other RUclipsrs reacting to the series. I am glad that you enjoyed it and decided to react to all the episodes consecutively right off the bat. Quick side note: That was Doll in the short cutscene right after V and Lizzy booed at Uzi's presentation. Also, Uzi is REAL. She has full control of herself and the solver inside of her. But now, the Solver is kinda like an annoying roommate inside of Uzi.
One thing this series reminded me of: the fact that you can get away with a lot of implied gore if you have it happen to robots. Like, how horrifying an image is it to see Uzi laying on the ground, struggling to push her heart back into her chest with handless arms?
Hello there Mike! I’m The_Ghoul. I’m here to answer some of your questions or give context to some moments. When we saw N having a Panic Attack, we see Cyn has previously did it before to N. That grey orb was The Absolute Solver. The hologram glitch at the end that appears on Uzi is theorised to be the her body taking the form of Cyn (the one that Uzi possessed in episode 5), the hologram is to disguise her true form by using Uzi’s original look. J is alive, we didn’t see a corpse and if that rule went for V then it goes for J. The Drone that was shown for a brief second before the credits was Doll’s. Even though you’ve finished Murder Drones, may I suggest MD: Intermission? It really ties the gap between Episode 4 and 5. It’s been a blast going through this series with you! I’ll see you on the other side!
@@The_Ghoul-cd5db In fact, J is actually shown in the end credits rebuilding the landing pod in the corpse spire. Seems like she doesn't want to stick around with the gang and part ways on her own.
@The_Ghoul-cd5db and also, it appears Doll's head is in the classroom with the others. If u look carefully at the background of Doll's cutscene, the surroundings look a lot like the bunker walls (not in the cathedral from ep. 6 anymore). Also, you may notice that on one side of the classroom, there's something glowing red. So it is implied that the ganga took Doll's remains to their bunker and into their classroom. Whcih makes sense since they had a funeral for Doll afterwards (in the end credits).
WOW it was fun watching you react to this series, MD is DEFINITELY one of, if not my favorite Show OVERALL, as an MD theorist (As most of the MD fans are) it has been a blast theorizing for the show, I hate to see it go, but all good things must come to an end, This show LITERALLY changed my life, and has inspired me to get into stuff like 3D and 2D animation, Voice Acting and MANY MANY More things. This show is probably one of the best indie shows to date, mostly because the Mysteries made it where the community was constantly interacting with the show, And that in turn made it where the Fan content was vast, and currently there are MULTIPLE Big MD Fan Projects out or in the works such as, MD Fan episode "Intermission", MD Alternate Universe Show "Insecurity", MD Fan Comic "Strays", and MD Multiverse Fan Show "Murderverse" all of these fan projects are very well made and I highly suggest them if you are craving more MD content.
Some of the credit screens seem to be hinting at future murder drones stuff: •J rebuilding the ship (most likely to try and escape the planet) •The red-eyed ghost in the halls, which might be Doll or Yeva •and most intrestingly, the monster in the Cryosleep chamber, which I suspect is from the end of episode 2, where after N stabbed the heart, it turned into a little black hole, but unlike with Cyn in this episode, no one dealt with that one, so it probably started absorbing matter, and became a snake-crab again.
Some "fun" facts about the episode (late but oh well :D) This might be the first time ever N saw Tessa (or a human to begin with) - Drones aren't supposed to see humans, which is why they're blackened out. But with Cyn/the Solver wearing Tessas skin it's visible as it's technically not on a human body anymore. Imagine never being able to see someone you love only to clearly see them for the first time when a crazy AI wears them over another drones corpse. Cyn skinned Tessa after/during the Gala massacre in Episode 5. When Uzi burns Cyns core you can even faintly hear Tessa screaming for her mother. It could be theorized that Cyn has all those weird hand tentacles due to her massacring so many humans. Though they could also be projections instead of being real. The Callback Ping is used to call hosts to Cyn (or their cores, seeing how Uzis core tried to free itself when Cyn passed it). She essentially tried to force Uzi out of hiding by recalling her core. That's most likely why she said "Uzis not here" as she didn't manage to get Uzis core from her callback ping. Uzi redirected the ping back to Cyn when she tried it again - Uzis solver is a patched version, inherited from Nori, although it's not entirely free from being controlled to some extend by Cyn. Though Uzi seemingly is able to redirect her attempts at mindcontrolling her. "It looks like she's enjoying getting hurt" Theory, but I believe Cyn doesn't even feel pain, at least not outside of her core. She's a Zombie Drone, most likely not even aware of herself anymore besides the Solver controlling her - she most likely isn't bothered by being injured unless it's her core being damaged (the screaming and the core trying to escape make it seem she's experiencing pain in this moment) The black hole Uzi holds and swallows at the end is the Solvers true form or at least a remnant of it's form. It keeps even dead things alive in a certain circle to re-possess them, which is why Tessa/Cyns body tried to get it back and forcing Uzi to swallow it. Nori mentioned that the Solver needs a host - if Uzi didn't eat it, it would've either re-entered Cyn or someone else, repeating the cycle. Uzis strong enough to keep it at bay as her Solver is patched. If you look closely when N and V find Uzi after the battle, Uzi holds her hands up like Cyn used to do. Cool reference to either Cyn herself often assuming this pose or the Solver not knowing how to place her hands. J was knocked out during the battle - when V kicks her, she lands in a hole and seemingly hits her head on the way down. The head we see for a brief flash in the classroom scene is Doll. She is really dead, but as Cyn ate her core & Uzi essentially ate Cyns/the Solvers, Doll might "live" on inside of Uzis OS similar to the Solver. Uzis is now the new Solver Host which is why she flickers. In Episode 5 we often see that the Solver changes between Cyns host body and it's own eldritch form. Uzi is not dead, but she's a hologram now. I think if she didn't keep this up she'd be running around as a giant centipede, lol. The Solver itself possesses her tail, which is why it has yellow eyes and moves on it's own, most likely being "banished" there by Uzis OS lol.
2:21 I'm hopefully sure someone explained this already but I really found this confusing when i first watched. A big part of how we see Cyn exploit Uzi's control of the Solver program is through Uzi's emotional fear. In Ep 4 Cabin Fever, she thinks N won't care for her anymore. In Ep 6 Dead End, she's afraid N and herself will die. In Ep 7 Mass Destruction, she freaks out for her own life feeling that everyone (especially N) is betraying her. That's what Nori means when "if you a little b+tch"; she can't be fearful with the solver. You see her grow on this in the episode, putting confidence in herself and her relationship with N.
