Man. Minneapolis, a microcosm of culture. I was fortunate to watch this at Intermedia arts. This was an exciting moment in time. The 4 elements of hip-hop MCing, DJing, Break Dancing, and Graffiti.. Thank you to Inca and Kush for pushing this project forward. A dream manifested into reality. I've learned to appreciate art forms and their creators because of them. Knowledge isn't just what you know. It's what you do with it..
The thoughtful lyrics, skillful dancing, well timed beats and love for one another has been lost in modern hip hop. I can't even describe what I would do to be part of this scene, it's hard to come by this style nowadays.
Mainstream hip hop scene today- tight jeans, rap about sipping lean, boast about money, guns and show off designer goods. It’s like dudes shop for their clothes and gears at the same shop as their missus. 😂🤣😂
It's like some new jack artist stole the name of an OG like yo! That's my style dawg I gotta have it back! This new shit has never been hip hop, it's all pose.
The only thing that happened to it is weak fucks stepped up with something a lil catchy and the dumb dumbs let it infect the radio waves. 90% of what you here on the mainstream radio or see on mainstream t.v. is NOT the culture. Those are the culture VULTURES trying to make a dime by weak attempts at imitating the culture. The actual CULTURE is still very much so alive and very much so well. It just found safer more artistically viable places to dwell. Places free of rich white dudes that wouldn't know what actual Hip Hop was if it bit them in the ass, telling half-assed wannabes what Hip Hop is "supposed to look like". The CULTURE is still going strong, you just have to look a little harder to find it these days.
well to be fair dude the radio playing garbage ass music is nothing new.. I mean I was in highschool in late 90s/early 2000s and I remember we all used to say the EXACT same type of shit "All the stuff on the radio sucks.. Underground is where its at".. However I will say that looking back at it back then even mainstream shit was more creative than a lot of mainstream artists nowadays.. i mean it still sucked back then but atleast a lot of them had their own styles and shit nowadays everyone just bites and does whatever is popular and it all sounds EXACTLY the same (like this mumble rap bullshit thats so popular).. i can't tell the difference between most these new rappers they all have pretty much the same voice and flow (that kinda higher drake/lil wayne style voice).
What an excellent Hip Hop scene. As an old school B-Boy myself, it just makes me want to go back in time and live this life again. Respect, peace and love. B-Boys will always be boys!
Nothing that I have heard released. Sounds like it's from before "First born" and it makes sense cos he says a few moments earlier that he is From the group Sixth sense. Which was the name him and abilities went under before "Eyedea and abilities".
Punk wouldn’t last a minute out there. I bet he won’t even step outside without all his yes men and securities. He’ll probably get rolled by the chicks for his designer gears. 😂🤣😂
@@chrispiverotto3496I believe its off headshots 7 but this is a different beat than the lyrics match up to. Could be Higher Living I think that’s the name of it

@@soloist9495 Don't fuck with carnage man.. He'll take your girl then fuck your world. Dude's one of the freshest I've ever seen on the mic; looping his vocals to make killer beats and rhythms then rapping his ass off over it better than 99% of the so called legends. An I'm not kissing ass because I see he responded here. This shit is just the TRUTH
